After reading Mr Fox's reviews, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I went in and met him. He in return gave me the same chance. My ex boyfriend had pressed charges on me for spousal abuse. I had in no way abused this man, but I did not feel I was going to get a fair trail without an attorney. My ex was a disabled veteran, and he know how to play the system. I was doomed from the start. My only goal was to get as far away from him as possible. Even by leaving California if necessary. Steve helped me greatly, I was able to get my case dismissed. He is funny and serious at the same time. I had to listen to him because after all. He knows what he is doing. My ego and demands were not the bottom line. I knew due to being a child of a nasty divorce, and watching my parents go in circles fighting eachother. That when we are in chaos. We do not always make rational decisions or know the best recourse to take. My job and future was on the line because of my decisions. I wasn't going to rely completely on my self and what I thought was right and wrong. The law is the law. It is written in black and white. If you break it or not. It is either guilty or not guilty. I was not guilty. After working with Steve, I can honestly say he knows what he is doing. I am off starting a new life. I was able to do that because of him. I am more than grateful. Shalom

Unprofessional. Incompetent bad hygiene

Steve is liar and thief!! He billed me for services never provided to me. Example: I met and hired Steve Fox as my lawyer Aug of 2024 and the invoice showed I was charged 1.5 hours for services in 09/2023. I disputed the discrepancies due to inaccurate billing. Steve sends me a notice 2 hours later saying that he is going to retire and his office will be closed. Do not hire Steve Fox as your lawyer. He wants your money and does not care to help. He will charge you for non existent service and then if you ask him to clarify the charges he can’t give you a response that justifies the charge or make sense of it.

This man should not be in business anymore, he is a crook and the laziest excuse there is of a lawyer. I hired him to handle a restraining order case that involved my ex and my son. My ex made some false allegations against me and I handed this man just about everything he needed and then some. When I found out that he was not relaying correspondence from the opposing side over to me in a timely fashion over to me I fired him as he was trying to charge me extra fees to handle divorce paperwork when I wasn’t even married to my ex. I have since been able to get my exes lawyers to drop the divorce on my own. This man’s reply to an email I sent him about sending me any attempts he made to get me visitation with my son was answered with “I was hired for a restraining order not custody” yeah guess what my son was on the restraining order so I’m going to take my sweet time to find the right lawyer to handle the matter against you. The man did not lift a finger to help me out. The two times I stopped by he had food over his clothes and his pants were sagging and you could see his boxers. I have met people he has gone up against and have statements of people he has belittled outside of the courtroom through sheer chance after explaining my situation to some individuals. He will ask for payment in full, no payment plans and the second a curve ball is thrown his way he will ask for more money for anything he has to do any kind of extra work for even if it’s related to the case at hand or if it’s a diversion by the opposing side. First day I walked in his assistant was fighting with another unhappy customer I was just in such a panic I thought I had to pay him and needed his help. Don’t make the same mistake I did. This man is too old and has some sort of twitch and is barely understandable when he talks at times. The good reviews by a woman named “Sharon” online are his wife and should be removed immediately a couple minutes of research will prove this a fact to anyone. All the good reviews online of this thief have to be insiders. I can not wait to have my son back and find the proper lawyer to handle this matter now that I know nothing was actually done. Please do yourself a favor and find yourself a lawyer that will actually fight for you and your children not this lazy excuse of a lawyer.

Must not be so great as they dont return your call to set up an appointment & then don't pick up their phones. I will report to my insurane carrier to eliminate from their list of referrals.

I have used Mr Fox on a few cases. I love his assistant she is the best. So helpful and knowledgeable.

Steve fox is an Attorney that you'd like on your side, he will make every attempt to take care of his clients. He helped me and my wife settle our cases against our ex's.

Awful, never returns calls or emails, hasn't filed case in over 5 months!

This was the worst decision I ever made hiring this attorney for my criminal matter. He did absolutely nothing to help my case. I was in dept A-7 and the judge and D.A hated him..they had no respect for him therefore I had no break given to me. I ended up talking to the judge myself and getting shorter sentence.

Very pleased and satisfied with the results. Things could have been a lot worse. Mr. Fox did a great job.

Steve helped me obtain a POA for an elderly man I have taken care of for 3 years. He was prompt for our appointment, and went over everything with me so that I understood the details and process. I highly recommend hi to anyone with POA issues and trusts. He is very supportive of the Veterans in our community.
