If you’re considering hiring a defense attorney, hire Mr. Wetter — he is truly the best decision you can make. I initially retained another attorney with great online reviews, but my experience was disappointing. The “best case scenario” I was given would have had serious consequences for my career in healthcare. It also felt very different from what was promised during the hiring process. He got one thing dropped. Should have taken state appointed saved myself 5500. THIS is my first offense with the law outside of a speeding ticket. My lawyer over 4 months couldnt return a call. I frequently asked for him to call and his assistant always insisted it would be in person. I recieved a dui, in a hit and run. I was drunk they hit me and ran. In 4 months of legal. I was in the emergency room 5 times, my car was totaled and on my final court date. He said I cant do much for ya. We got some charges dropped, after I stated no contest. Due to the fact I no longer had a vehicle. If my lawyer would call his paying client. He would have known, about my medical and that I have no car. He cant call you and honestly doesnt feel like he cared more than pumping 5 clients out in 1 easy session for him.

Worst DUI lawyer, save your money. Will not help you with DMV. Barely answers phone. Will not show up to court and blame it on “an emergency”. He will get you the same deal as a PD and still very much working for the other side. Didn’t want to hear my side and told my no one wanted to hear that I got date raped at the bar. I should have listened to my gut, but it’s not too late for you. Plenty of other people going through DUI in this area have raved about their lawyer and have actually helped them. Do more research.

I hired Attorney Witter to handle a DUI case in Florida. I am a NY resident but received a citation. Attorney Witter handled all court hearings by video thereby not requiring me to attend. The case was eventually dismissed due to his professional expertise. My congratulations to Steven for is thorough handling of my case and my supporting documentation. His responses and follow ups and that of his staff were timely and greatly appreciated.

I talked to 5 different lawyers before obtaining Mr. Wetter as an attorney. I scheduled an appointment and and sat with him and he made me feel seen as a human being and not a criminal or a paycheck. He was very up front about everything and did not promise me anything, except that if there was anything he could use or find to help my case, he would do it! And he did. He absolutely killed it in depositions with an officer who managed to slip up and admit to prolonging a traffic stop leading to officers finding alleged marijuana in the vehicle. He knew exactly what to ask and thoroughly deposed the officers accordingly. He also found great case laws that helped my case. The state gave an offer for prison time and he declined their offer and said we are taking it all the way. This ultimately lead to all charges getting dropped. I know every case is different and some people may not get what they hope for. But I can truly say Mr. Wetter was worth every penny. I also noticed in a lot of the low star reviews people say he doesn’t communicate with them very well. I’ll tell you what he told me from the start. He does not like talking about cases over the phone. If you want to come in you can make an appointment OR if you are freaking out and want to talk you can come in without an appointment and if he is not in court working, he will take time to talk to you. Which the first couple of months of my case, I did just that. Every other week I just showed up at his office freaking out about evidence and the whole thing in general, and he always took the time to calm me down. Eventually I decided to stop losing my mind and let the man do his job. Always remember “no news is good news”. This is a true statement. So if he is not calling you to talk about your case it’s because there is no new information yet, and if it’s something serious he will let you know! He’s not going to lead you blind. If you want an experienced lawyer that will put in the work to find a hole in your case, and who knows how the prosecution thinks, then I’d suggest going with Mr. Wetter. I was told by several friends about Mr.Wetter who they recommended to me as the best attorney ..Hands Down !!! I am so absolutely amazed at this man and the results that he got for me.It was nothing short of incredible.. If you had told me that I was going to walk out of the Lee County Courthouse ...FREE... I was looking around for a lawyer and Wetter stood out to me. Fantastic choice. The bad reviews made me worry but learning from my fiancés experience, I’m glad I didn’t listen. I needed a lawyer immediately on my fiancés drug possession and sale case. Wetter was there the next morning for court. Always answered her questions and helped guide her on what was happening next. He helped clear up any anxiety of the fear of prison time. 10 years prison time it was looking like. He got it down to 4 years probation with NO jail. Thankful.

Steven wetter is great! He did what he promised and for me that was (no jail time and a withhold adjudication) with a drug charge. Very satisfied with his services. He may not always respond BUT he does pull his strings and make things happen! Highly recommend❤️

Never showed to court. First set wrong date, had to have the office correct then the date of the motion he NEVER SHOWED In response to your reply luckily I went in and didn’t wait for you in the hall. It was granted but I had some things I wanted to go over. Your office constantly telling me he’s coming and you never showed up. What if I needed support? You weren’t there. And when I tried calling multiple times just told he’s coming he will be there.

Glad to see that he's helped many people, but this review is based off of my experience. Most of his positive reviews come from DUIs or some other misdemeanors. Most of his negative reviews come from people who got charged with felonies, and unfortunately I'm one of them. I won't go into detail about my case, just how he handled it. After the first 2 weeks, when he received his money and got all of the info/paperwork he needed from me, I could not reach him at all. I would call him just to have his assistant answer and say, "I'll have him call you tomorrow". This happened the entire 6 months, and he'd only call me back to tell me, "still waiting". He finally called me to tell me about the plea deal, and manipulated me into taking it. He tells me, "it's a no contest plea, you're good". Well, the day of, as I'm walking to the podium he whispers to acceptthe plea, he goes, "oh youu need to plead guilty, only way it'll work". And most of the other things he told me would be able to happen, werent able to. I've never been in trouble with the law, and after paying this man nearly 7k, I expected some guidance, and put my faith into him. He never even listened to the audio and video proof I had that would corroborate my story. I didn't realize how little he had done until the prosecuting attorney asked me, "Did he go over the evidence against you? Did he go over your defense and the evidence in your favor? Was he there to answer any and all questions? Has he kept solid and consistent communication with you" And in my head I'm saying, "he didn't do any of that" but he told me before to answer all of their questions as a yes, saying, "You have a family, a business, a home, I You can't afford to go that long. At least this way, you know you wont be going at all." He played on my fear knowing that way, he wouldn't have to actually do any work . I know since I'm a felon, most of you won't care about what i said , but please don't trust this man with your future. So I'd highly recommend going somewhere else. Felonies are definitely not his forte.

I had the pleasure of working with Jessica over the phone, she took great care of us on a civil matter and had us up and running for that Monday.
