Advised me about a real estate issue.
I was referred to Harold via Vermont Bar Association, he was quick, sharp and to the point. Thank you for being so readily available for my time sensitive concerns!
Hal Stevens is incredibly helpful and easy to work with. He’s professional, responsive, and offers clear, practical guidance. I really appreciated his support and would highly recommend him for any business-related legal needs.
Great service! Very helpful with estate planning.
I cannot say enough about the attentiveness of Mr. Hal Stevens to my contractual problem. I felt he actually listened and then took time to walk me through the options which happily were resolved to my satisfaction. His clerk was likewise responsive and very quick to reply to my queries. Thank you!
I had a great experience with Harold Stevens and his team. Harold was professional, efficient, and made the whole process easy. Lynne Cullen, the law clerk, was also excellent. She kept everything organized, reminded me about my hearing, and made sure I was prepared. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, and on top of things. They were exactly what I needed. Highly recommend.
I had an excellent experience at this office. From the initial consultation to the resolution of my case, the staff listened to all of my concerns and showed true professionalism. Lynne, in particular, was always responsive -answering phone calls and emails at practically any hour- and was very dedicated to making sure this entire process understandable to me, and that I knew what to expect at every step. Lynne's commitment to my case is what made me trust this firm. This level of support and attention made me feel like I was in good hands. I would recommend this firm without hesitation. They deliver results, and genuinely care about each case.
This law office was very helpful to me during a hard situation. The staff was excellent and the lawyer did a fine job.
Personal premium service at practical prices. Thank you.
Lynne was fantastic to work with on my estate planning needs. She was knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I don’t know what I would have done without her expertise. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for expert guidance—5 stars.
Very. Great. Working with.Leslie. She amazing
Lived in Stowe many years now in Colorado. Still owned property in Stowe Stevens Law firm handled required legal documents and represented me at Closing. All while I was in Colorado. They were concise, helpful and at time patient! Would use them again in a minute!
I am so grateful for Hal and Leslie. They helped me through a stressful and confusing time and provided me with excellent advice. Would recommend.
Absolute joke. The VT Bar association shouldn't suggest this lawyer who's website says FREE CONSULTS, yet he wants a retainer of $4,500 and doesn't do consults without...
Avoid at all cost. Hal Stevens' advice was to file a lawsuit against condo association that filed a fraudulent lien on my home. He was extorting money from us while not providing competent legal services. He breached his contract, withdrew from the case, and left us with a huge mess to clean up. He is asking for an additional $7,000 for nothing after already charging me $3,500. He is a bully. He was very happy to charge my son's credit card even though his name is not on the contract. He just filed a fraudulent lien on my home. I wish I read the reviews before I hired him, it would have saved me a lot of time and money. The positive reviews are most likely fake.
Took the time to explain a FEMA Insurance problem I'm having. So glad I spoke with him and now understand more of the predicament I'm having.
I was supposed to have a 30 minute consult with Harold Stevens through the Vermont Bar association, where you pay $25.00. Please know he is a terrible representation of what an attorney should and his idea of a consult is a joke. He immediately demanded payment when he called me. I was on the phone with him for a total of 6 minutes. Two or more of which was getting my credit card information. Then when I told him my question, he told me to read the statute online and offered nothing further. An ethical attorney would have not charged me for such lack of advice. I can’t believe the Bar Association has him as part of their referral program.
I called Attorney Stevens after being referred through the Vermont Bar Association website, which states that their “attorneys provide up to a 30-minute initial consultation for no more than $25,” which Attorney Stevens charged to my credit card before we started. I found the Attorney’s advice to be quite helpful in terms of directing me to appropriate resources and endeavoring to save me unnecessary legal fees, and in a manner that was blessedly succinct and concise compared to other lawyers I’ve consulted.
Harold Stevens was extremely short and rude over the phone when requesting initial information. Before he would explain his credentials or anything in the way of niceties, he explained that "His time is money" and will bill $75 for an initial consultation, even though the firm’s website claims the initial consultation is free. When I asked if he handled cases like mine he said "Bye bye" and hung up. Sir, everyone's time is valuable, not just yours, and I would recommend you consider manners and kindness when dealing with the public.
