Had a situation that I needed a sound legal opinion for my business. A family friend recommended me to their office. The office staff were personable, and conscientious. When I first walked in, Debbie made me feel right at home. It was just a consultation but didn't feel like any less of a client. Sam had a calm energy, even when talking about what could go wrong. He also gave great break downs to help me understand some points I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Left with a better understanding of my situation. Feeling like I was heard and had actionable information to use in my resolution for the time being.

Sam Hood gives you what feels to be a personal touch. Very easy to get ahold of, very easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable and lays out your options clearly.

I will never use their services in the future. They incorrectly billed me, and failed to bill the legal plan which I had in place at the time of service (which was a requirement of our contract!). They then attempted to collect money, that was not owed to them by me, for the next few years after service (service was in 2015). I replied to each one of their demand emails and letters letting them know of their mistake and they ignored every one of my responses. They continued to send demand letters every 6 to 8 months with no response regarding my replies. Terrible communication, and I wasn't pleased with their service or the handling of my court case either.

If you want the best this is the place. Sam and Brad are the best and will never steer you wrong.

Known Sam Hood for a while and when I needed some legal help him and his firm got the situation handled. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Excellent service, extremely professional, and not afraid to battle it out.

Brad is a great attorney, but his paralegal Pam is the WORST!!!!! We used Brad for stepparent adoption and Pam submitted the wrong paperwork 3 times!!! You would think you would make sure to find out from the court what paperwork that is needed before doing it wrong 3 times! Pam is also very condescending!! Every time I had a question or didn’t understand something, she was rude and made it seem like I should know already. Also like I was wasting her time. My last complaint about Pam is that she doesn’t communicate with you at all! I was always in the dark even up to the point of picking up our final paperwork from the court. She called me to say come get it, it’s ready. I showed up on my lunch break and she said “oh I put it in the mail.”. I was fuming!!! My dog communicates better than Pam!! Find a different attorney to use because you won’t receive good service from Pam!!!!!

Do not use these guys! I went in and I am still dealing with an wrongful termination suite with an ex employer they took the case on with no money down and would just take there cut out of the settlement Wich is great and I was happy to do it this way as I wasn't in it for the money as much as to hope to prevent something similar happening to another employee down the road. Well after about 18 months and no attempt on the end of the Stevenson& Smith firm to ever call with any update it finally got to court well filed with the court that was 4 months ago I was told that they would call when we heard back from the other party well I'm still waiting on a call. The communication with from the law firm is absolutely horrible to the point of disrespectful and plain rude. I have been extremely patient with them as I understand that they are busy and my case not being a high dollar case can be done in between others and alittle at a time. So I was nice and waited. We'll talk about taking advantage of this Stevenson & Smith have taken it to a whole different level that I would have never thought possible by a law firm I am amazed at the amount of disrespect and pure unprofessional service I have received from them I would not send my worst enemy here I will never recommend them to anyone but I will do everything in my power to sway people from even entertaining the idea of using Stevenson & Smith do not do it don't call don't go in and don't think it will be different for you because it won't be turn to the next firm and be glad you're not having to deal with this horrible place! DO NOT USE STEVENSON & SMITH PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professional, knowledgeable, interesting. It doesn't take a long conversation with either David Stevenson or Brad Smith to know that they have the experience and the wisdom that would warrant a much higher bill if their office was located in downtown Salt Lake. If you need a lawyer in the Ogden area, you really should give them a call.

Brad Smith is a wonderful attorney. He immediately made me feel confident that he could help me with my case and i cant thank him enough for all he has done for me. If you are looking for an attorney that knows estate law he is the man. I would highly recommend him.
