2025 update: Original review at bottom. I engaged Tom a second time for my SSDI reconsideration application after the first company that was recommended by my LTD provider completely screwed up my initial SSDI application. The process took almost 3 years but Tom and his team stayed with me the entire time. They were incredibly professional and had amazing attention to detail. In the end we were successful in the process and I owe it all to the expertise of Tom and his team. I also recommended Tom the the sister of a friend who had Breast Cancer and was denied at her first application. Tom and his team were able to successfully help her with her reconsideration application and the positive result has transformed her life. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are struggling with your SSDI application definitely contact Tom. I was covered by a group long term disability policy with my employment. I put in a claim for benefits on my own and my claim was initially denied. Tom helped me with the appeal of the denial. He and his staff were amazing. He directed me to the best resources to get second opinions re: my disability and put together a remarkably complete appeal packet of information. We got preliminary indications that they intended to deny my appeal but Tom did not give up. He directed me to gather further information and requested that a different examiner review my file. Astonishingly we just got word that the the insurerer determined that my benefits were payable. Tom and his staff were amazing throughout the whole process. He took time in explaining the process and leading my through it step by step. He never gave up and ultimately we prevailed. His communication was impeccable, as was his knowledge and professionalism. The communication by his staff (especially Teresa) was equally excellent. I cannot thank him enough. I recommend him without reservation to anyone looking for help with a first application for LTD benefits or for an appeal of a denial of a private individual or group LTD policy.

Tom is not only a very good attorney, but is a medical professional as well. The judges respect his knowledge and rule accordingly. Tom and his team worked tirelessly on my case which resulted in an award above my expectations. If you have unusual medical conditions or just need an attorney who genuinely cares, Tom Stewart is the choice. His office works nationwide which was a huge plus for me. In my mind he is the GOAT!!

Not helpful. Mr Stewart didn't familiarize himself with my case or my dx. There was chaos and confusion during the prep before my court date. I didn't get the outcome I was hoping for. The judge wasn't impressed with Mr Stewart due to his phone/video connection and some of his comments. I am very displeased.

Applying for disability for my husband was a very daunting experience to undertake by myself. Stewart Disability Law was recommended to me for their experience and knowledge about Huntington's Disease. They were knowledgeable and efficient about what information was pertinent and helpful to prove my husband's disability case.
