Sumner law, viz. Drew and Sonya Sumner, was extremely helpful as counsel for a complex commercial landlord/tenant case. From our initial consultation through months of issues, they were always extremely clear, supportive, patient, and steadfast in representing my interests as a tenant. I interacted directly mostly with Sonya Sumner (at least for my case, and perhaps for all, they work as a team; Sonya was like the “team leader”). Sonya was wonderfully warm, kind, and generous in offering good advice about how best to deal with the issues I was facing. She is also *extremely* smart, and I never doubted I’d hired the best attorneys; her letters were beautifully written and extremely persuasive. I also always felt that Sonya and Drew were not only representing me well, but also ethically. For example, they were very clear about relative costs/expenses that might be involved in different approaches, and they were always both explicit and incredibly reasonable wrt billed hours, etc. They “managed my expectations“ with perfect transparency, and I completely trusted (like: there was just no question in my mind at all) that they would only ever advise cost-efficient, reasonable actions. I’ve hired attorneys in the past with whom I felt I needed another attorney to work, or with whom I felt I was just being moved along through the system without much thought or effort or dedication to my cause. With Sumner Law, it was so different and so much better. I can’t imagine hiring different attorneys in the future; these guys are just the best around.
