As a small business, we were being pushed around by my former employer trying to scare us with a cease and desist letter filled with false accusations. This was extremely stressful and an emotional time. We drove 2 hours to meet with this firm and from the get go, they were well worth it. We sat in a professional conference room as we discussed our situation with our lawyer Chase and his paralegal. Right away, they were already read up on the situation. They provided comfort, empathy, and confidence. They responded tactically and were there to calm my nerves on multiple occasions. Things worked out great and they were very easy to work with. The receptionist is the main reason we chose them! The customer service was amazing and professional. If you are looking for a ethical and kind but professional and talented team, go here!

BEWARE: Poor Communication, No Accountability, and Vague Billing ***l just got notified on Jan 30 2026 they posted an update to my review… 😂 but my review stands… terrible service… look how long it took for them to respond to my review lol BEWARE. I hired Sumsion Business Law hoping for professional legal help, but instead I experienced confusion, poor communication, and ultimately felt taken advantage of. From the beginning, my case didn’t seem to be understood. The advice I received — including being told to ask the opposing party for a loan (!!) — made it clear they hadn’t grasped the facts. To put it mildly. I decided to end the relationship and was told that any unused portion of my retainer would be returned after a final invoice. But instead, I received a surprise bill for charges that supposedly exceeded my retainer — which I had been expecting a refund from. When I asked for clarification, I was ignored. They claimed they had no meaningful contact with the other side — yet their advice to me was based on what that attorney supposedly said. Since then, I’ve seen other recent reviews describing nearly identical experiences: poor communication, being ghosted after payment, and only getting responses once a public review was posted. That tells me this isn’t just bad luck — it looks like a pattern. I'm disappointed in this service because I had high hopes when they first started helping me, only to see it spiral into miscommunication and now dishonesty in billing extremely excessive amounts. I’m now pursuing formal complaints. I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anyone.

My grandparents hired this attorney to help recover money from a former business partner who was embezzling funds and falsifying documentation. We paid this attorney expecting representation, advocacy, and help pursuing justice. Instead, the entire experience amounted to two Zoom meetings. During those meetings, it felt like the attorney and the interpreter were more focused on helping the person who wronged my grandparents rather than representing our family’s interests. The interpreter was ineffective, communication was poor, and there was no meaningful progress or action taken on our case. For the amount paid, the lack of effort, professionalism, and results was extremely disappointing. This was a stressful situation for my grandparents, and we trusted this attorney to help — that trust was not met. I would not recommend this attorney based on our experience.

I went here looking for some advice for my company, and I got placed with Chase and Dallin the paralegal. They were both extremely helpful, and I truly believe they had my best interest at heart. They were able to help me solve some of my issues and help point me in the right direction the communication was prompt and they helped me without it costing me a fortune. We needed a business lawyer in a hurry due to a contract that was in default due to the other party. We didn't know who to call, so we turned to reviews. Sumsion had amazing reviews and so many people with positive outcomes. I called them and we met with Steve and Braxton in person. We came out of the first meeting already feeling like a weight had been lifted! You could tell they knew exactly how to handle our case. Steve and Braxton were able to work with both parties and negotiated an amazing settlement. It was actually a miraculous ending. Without going into details they strategically left no stone unturned to secure this agreement. This took about 5 months and would have been faster if the other party would have been more responsive early on. Needless to say we would refer anyone we knew or didn't know to Sumsion Business Law. One thing to note, the other party lived in another state, but that didn't matter. They were willing to work with us regardless. So don't let that stop you if you live outside of Utah.
