If Surovell can’t defend your constitutional rights in the General Assembly, there’s no reason to believe he’ll defend you when it actually counts — in court.
Scott Surovell is pit bull with a sharp legal mind and a conscience.
Please save your money. This is the worst law firm ever!
I am writing to provide an exceptional review for Senator Scott Surovell, who not only serves as a distinguished attorney but also as a dedicated state senator. Throughout the entire legal process, Senator Surovell demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism, diligence, and strategic acumen. His deep understanding of the law and meticulous approach to case preparation were evident from the outset. He carefully analyzed every detail, gathered compelling evidence, and built a robust case that highlighted the injustices faced by me as a tenant, over the years. The previous aired NBC news interview showed Senator Surovell's legislative efforts to address housing issues, protect tenant rights, and ensure fair treatment for all citizens are a testament to his dedication to improving our community. The upcoming successful outcome of the class action lawsuit is yet another example of his tireless efforts to champion the cause of justice both inside and outside the courtroom. In conclusion, Senator Surovell is an exceptional attorney and an outstanding state senator. This upcoming most recent victory in the class action lawsuit filed for false eviction underscores their remarkable legal skills, unwavering dedication to justice, and profound commitment to serving the community. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking legal representation or wishing to support a true advocate for justice and equality. Sincerely, E.Ramirez
Scum of the earth. Supports slot machines but not Veterans. Find another firm.
Fast and efficient. David Levy was stellar in my recent legal matter involving a 10 year old unpaid judgement. We had an opportunity to force payment through a lien and David knew exactly what to do. His relationship with the courts turned what could have been a 4 to 6 week process into a 2 week expedited judgement and lien which allowed me to collect a 5 figure payment within 3 weeks of contacting him. This is my 4 month experience in working with Surovell Isaacs &Levy and second time working with David. I highly recommend this firm for your relevant legal needs/
Unprofessionalism and poor customer service from staff. The front office receptionist is the only exception. Asked for a simple verbal referral to another firm and they weren't even able to provide me that - useless staff. Paralegal secretary pretending to be the lawyer, jerking clients around. If they were not interested in taking new customers they should have said so from the very beginning. Must have caught them at a bad time eating cake for a celebration; they decided it was too much work to come out from around the adjacent corner and be cordial and introduce themselves. Do yourself a favor and pick another firm to talk to. Total waste of time. You can always represent yourself. He who laughs last as they say. Hope they like the review. 2024 Edit: I represented myself Pro Se in Circuit Court - I am not a lawyer and I won my case without anyone’s help.
Lack of professionalism speaks volumes.
I am sorry you were disappointed in your recent interaction with the firm. If you would like to discuss the issue, please give me a call at 703-251-5400. Ask for Jean.
Due to a pending court appearance for a HOA fee dispute, I contacted the firm a month ago through its online form, but no response whatsoever and then two days before the court date, I called the office and the lady promised me somebody would get back to me within 24 hours, apparently, that 24 hours meant eternity. Now I have handled the issue myself, no bid deal. I know the firm is under no obligation to get back to me, but please don't make any promise if you cannot keep or add a fine print underneath that online form, telling people we may never get back to you. Thanks! One start is for the website.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!! Nobody replies to requests for contact either through their online form or texts despite the fact that they tell you they will contact you "shortly". Apparently "shortly" means NEVER!!!!
We would like to apologize for any delay in returning your call. Please feel free to contact me at jhelmandollar@surovellfirm.com and I will be happy to try and help you.
Experienced lawyers, great staff.
Completely shocked by the manner in which I was spoken to in my initial call with Mr. Levy. Not only did he "chuckle" while I was explaining my situation, he also made unnecessary and inappropriate comments during the duration of our call. I truly thought he was an intern or paralegal because of his conduct.
I had a negative experience with this law firm. I paid a lot of money for a sloppy/inaccurate document that needed revision. I thought I hired a lawyer for Y, only to be told Y isn't feasible. Overall there were several misunderstandings, and I left with empty pockets and a sour taste.
As a small business owner it's inevitable that you will need a lawyer every now and then. It's great to have a local team with a vast array of knowledge like the folks at Surovell Isaacs & Levy. I have particularly enjoyed working with Mr. Blaser. He is attentive, intuitive and truly cares about getting the best result, not just racking up the hours.
I am pleased with the integrity, and service. I have been with other lawyers before and the service i received with Mr. Levy and Lily was outstanding. Very professional, I will be using their services again. ,
I hired Mr. Tyler Blaser to write a letter to a contractor and be prepared to sue for fraud, misrepresentation and breach of contract. I asked him to keep all communication in writing with copies to me. After he wrote the initial letter, he engaged in unauthorized verbal conversations with the opposing attorney, fully adopted their position, and tried to pressure me into accepting their so-called solution, which was less to my advantage than what they had offered me before I hired him! In addition, despite my written requests, Mr. Blaser never gave me a transcript of his communication with the adversary, including a supposedly written response to his initial letter that he claimed he received from the contractor's attorney. Not only Mr. Blaser did not respect my legitimate objectives, not only did he not zealously represent me as any ethical lawyer would have, but he advocated the adversary's position and paid himself for this behavior from my retainer!
Scott Surovell and Tashina Harris have your best interest at heart. Their knowledge of family law is impressive and work ethic is phenomenal. Very patient, accessible and personable. They are honest and will manage your expectations. Highly recommend without reservation, do not waste your time with others.
As Board member and Treasurer of a condo complex in Alexandria, I needed to confirm we were complying with the Virginia Condo Act. Our management firm had given inconsistent answers and I needed independent help as to our Board's legal obligations. I thought I was only 30% toward resolving my concerns before talking to Scott Surovell, but he quickly helped me focus on the critical issues and in minutes uncovered a key element in the Condo Act that requires ALL condo funds to be placed in a Federally insured bank while NOT requiring all condo funds to be federally insured! This unexpected result, followed by a little more work on my part, allowed me to quickly clear up my concerns AND inform my Board as Treasurer as to our true obligations. This was the first time I've used Scott's services and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing his services. Brian Coupe, Alexandria, VA
