When our Mother needed a higher level of care we couldn’t provide for her, we trusted a skilled nursing & assistant living rehabilitation facility in the Bay Area to provide that care. Unfortunately this was during the peek of COVID so there were rules vaccination requirements or proof of negative COVID test so we couldn’t visit regularly and when we did visit her health was declining every time, something wasn’t right. My Brother and Sister in law went to Susan Kang Gordon’s law office with our situation and Susan was passionate from the beginning about our case, with her extensive background in elder abuse, neglect in Nursing facilities she was very knowledgeable with clients rights and her confidence in finding the answers to our questions was strong. Susan was diligent during the investigation process and communicated new developments with us and was responsive when we had any questions thru email and phone calls. Susan Kang Gordon represented my family in a wrongful death case. My father passed away at 85 with dementia while living in a residential care facility. What can I say about Attorney Susan Kang Gordon? I can't say enough good stuff! Before hiring Susan to represent our family in a medical matter concerning our mother, I was at a complete loss. Not my experience with Susan. In fact to speak to my comment about ego. There are many issues raised in this case. And when Susan felt the need, she brought in the proper people with the right experience for those specific issues. In my eyes pushing her ego to the side. You have heard the saying “Only the lawyers win.” Again, not my experience with Susan K. My father passed away and was part of a class action suit with over a dozen people. Even with that number of participants Susan made me feel like she was paying attention to me and not 12 other people. it was a long battle, over two years. Still, I can’t stress enough how tirelessly Susan her assistant Kevin and the rest of her legal team made me feel like I matter, and like my father‘s life mattered.(. Yes, she is wicked smart, skilled at her job, and well-connected (she often knew the judges, mediators, insurance reps and attorneys for the other side in our cases). But she is so much more than that – in fact, I cannot say enough about her integrity, caring and passion for justice! She listens deeply and truly cares about the trauma you've experienced (and this isn't fake – her dad was hurt in an industrial accident, so she knows what such damage can do to a family). She was always there to answer every question, fully explain the process, and to thoroughly prepare us for every step – whether deposition, mediation or trial (thankfully, she brought us to very fair settlements in both of our cases). But as caring and attentive as Susan was to us as clients, I was a bit surprised at how ferocious she was in defending/protecting us from the other side's bogus attempts to undermine our case. Example: With access to all our medical files, they tried (quite politely, in deposition) to ask about our medical issues totally unrelated to the case – and before we could answer (thinking we had nothing to hide), Susan strongly objected to this as irrelevant, and not always in a nice way. She did this over and over, and was always on top of protecting us and our case from the sneaky tactics of the opposition – so that I began to think of her as the “bulldog in our corner”... So when Susan takes your case, you can be assured that she will fight to the end for the best possible settlement to address your legitimate pain, suffering and trauma, and will guide you compassionately through every step of this difficult process.
