I just finished a consultation and I went in believing this would be a great experience to learn about estate planning as we are trying to help my parents, who are SPANISH SPEAKING, prepare things such as a will, power of attorney, etc. I felt the tension from the moment we walked into her office as the first thing that Tamra said was “not everyone needed to come” then my sister and I communicated that we were going to translate which at that point she stated “that is going to be a problem” my sister and I ensured her that we will translate as we were already sensing tension from her. Being the respectfully people that we are, we let her know we can continue. While translating to my parents what was being said in Spanish, she said, and I quote, with throwing her hands up, “I’m going to be honest I am feeling uncomfortable right now because I don’t know what is being said” in a condescending tone. Yet, still proceeded, took our $100 and seemed like she was eager to get us out of there. If you are HISPANIC and are trying to help relatives that are not English speaking I would highly recommend seeking another professional that is more welcoming and doesn’t see Spanish SPEAKING people as a “problem” or make her “uncomfortable” speaking Spanish. A real shame but it looks like this attorney is only for a specific demographic and we felt taken advantage of as it seemed like the $100 was more important than giving a professional recommendation or offer any type of solution.

I have been a client with Tamra K Waltemath, PC since 2005. She created and has amended my living trust, will, and powers of attorney over these several years. I recommend her for your estate planning.

I would give zero stars for this woman and her assistant if that was an option. Please, do yourself a favor, and DO NOT use them. We contacted them to help assist with a will and estate planning for my great uncle. My mother (his niece), and myself, are the only family he has in the state and really the only people that can help him. He has no children or spouse. This woman literally treated us like the scum of the earth. She was condescending, accusatory, and downright mean. She would not answer questions thoroughly (if we even got an answer). After the first real meeting to go over the documents I left her office practically in tears for how she treated me. It was as if she thought we were criminals. Looking back, I compare her attitude to that of Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada! I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a "professional". Please, take your business elsewhere. This was a horrendous experience, and the only reason we did not stop the process mid-way after meeting her was because we wanted to get through it as quickly as possible given my great uncle's age and how difficult it is for him to travel around, etc.

We created our living wills, estate planning documents, and power of attorney documents with the assistance of Tamra. We appreciate her thorough explanations and clarifications to ensure that our wishes would be carried out.

We recently updated our wills with Tamra. She was professional, and explained everything in layman’s terms for us, making our experience as pleasant as possible.
