I highly recommend this lawyer for nursing licensure advice. Their clear, concise guidance made obtaining my license a stress-free process. Excellent service and expert legal support!
I highly recommend Ms Taralynn for any legal matters with BON. Her expertise and support were invaluable in my case, which was unfounded. She provided clear guidance throughout the process, and her predictions were spot on. Trust her advice, follow her steps, and you'll be in good hands! Plus, my former manager, who made the false report, is no longer working at the hospital.
Taralynn was up front and direct from the initial contact. She is very professional and gives you the worst case scenario to the minimal that could happen. So blessed to have chose you and getting things expunged from my records. No need to look any further she is the real deal.Thank you again for all of your hard work and dedication dealing with my situation🙏🏾
I am grateful today for attorney Attorney Mackay. I contacted several lawyers for my situation with the Board of Nursing, and they were expensive. After praying and reading her reviews, I chose her. Her price was a fraction of the cost. She shared a story with me about another nurse who had to make a decision, and she told her that the board would review the packet, renew it, and mail a letter. Exactly what she said happened. Her assistant, Ashley, was very helpful and patient with me, and Mrs. Mackay quickly responded. Choose her and avoid these overpriced attorneys. She is the real deal.
Taralynn Mackay not only has an impressive resume making her the most qualified, experienced attorney available to represent Texas nurses, but she is a RN herself and a partner in a law firm that specializes in healthcare related issues. Ms. Mackay clearly outlined the necessary steps to retain her legal representation, including several different reasonable payment plans to finance her services, if needed. Upon notification by The TX BON that there was no wrongdoing on my part and that the charges against me were being dropped based on the findings of their investigation, Ms. Mackay promptly responded to my request for assistance regarding reinstating my Compact Multistate Nursing License. At no cost to me, she graciously explained (step by step) how to make this request myself on the TX BNE website. Free of charge. I can’t stress enough how relieved I am to know that I have this ally…if I ever need one in the future! I highly recommend Taralynn Mackay, RN,JD for any nurse under scrutiny of The Texas BON.
I am extremely happy with Mrs. Taralynn's and Mrs. Ashley's services. I cannot thank them enough for the great services they both provided. Mrs. Taralynn is ready to help you out and answer your questions, no matter how many times you have asked her. She is always available when you need her; if she does not answer her phone, she will call you right back before the end of the day. She speaks the truth and is straight-forward. I have referred colleagues who have lost faith in their dilemmas, and their outcome has been positive. I highly, highly, but highly recommend her services you will not regret it. Thank you, Taralynn Mackay, RN, JD, and Ashley God Bless you both. 🙏 🙏
Taralynn is very responsive and empathetic. She listens to you and gives the best advice. I’d recommend her to any and every nurse.
Thank you for your kind words.
As a former nurse, Taralynn has insight and understanding to the challenges of nursing. She is a good listener and willing to fight for you all the way through.
Thank you.
I am so happy with the outcome of working with Mrs. Taralynn and Mrs.Ashley. I know there were times where I asked the same questions multiple times, and both ladies were always pleasant and kind, and responded in a timely manner. I appreciate both ladies professionalism and knowledge. I want to publicly thank Mrs. Taralynn for helping me fight my case against the TBON. THANK YOU SO MUCH! If anyone finds themselves in a situation with the board, do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Taralynn! I am so HAPPY that I did! She is reasonable for her services, too. Thank you again, Mrs. Taralynn!!
Thank you so much.

Ashley and I both thank you.
Taralynn is wonderful! She helped me navigate the TBON system and was always there when I had a question. She is invaluable and so nice. Thank you Taralynn!
I am so glad I was able to help. Thank you.
I am not sure where to begin. I had a criminal complaint against me that led to an arrest, and I was charged with very serious criminal charges. These charges turned my life around 180 degrees and jeopardized my nursing career. This criminal complaint led to me hiring a criminal defense lawyer, a family law lawyer, and Ms. Mackay. As you are reading this review, I am sure you are doing so because you are weighing your options on which lawyer to hire for whichever situation you may find yourself in. Before my criminal charges, which were dropped, I never had any run-ins with the law. So hiring lawyers was new to me. You have to rely on google ratings and avvo to get a brief overview of who you are hiring. After this whole ordeal that I been through, I have learned a few things about the lawyer market. First, some lawyers have really great reviews, but it is quite possible that those reviews do not always reflect the character of the person you are hiring. Simply put, those reviews can be deceiving. I wrote down the names of several attorneys who I listed as possible council for my nursing license. I had consultations with a few of them and right from the start they seemed more eager about how I would compensate them monetarily than the merits of my case. I knew this because some outrageous price quotes were thrown at me. I want to add that I had similar experiences with my search for a family law lawyer and criminal defense lawyer. Ms. Mackay gave me more than a reasonable price for the service she provided for me and instead of making me feel as an inconvenience or a client who was trying to lowball her, she did her job with a great attitude. I hate to say this, but I learned now why attorneys in general are not trusted. They will tell you everything you want to hear right before signing the contract and paying for the retainer. But once that is done, sometimes what you expected and what you read online is much different than the person who you hired. Ms. Mackay was able to assist me in getting approval from the board of nursing despite the ongoing issues with my criminal complaint and helped me continue on the path of practicing as a licensed nurse. She was reasonable from the start. So, as you continue searching through google ratings, avvo, or other third-party websites wondering who to hire for your difficult situation, I want you to know that Ms. Mackay is a woman of integrity in a profession where such virtue is sometimes scarce. Finally, no lawyer, doctor, or any type of professional can guarantee an outcome regardless of reviews. That is the main lesson that I have learned from my experience. Good luck to you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice detailed review. I appreciate your recognition. Being a nurse myself, I realize how hard nurses work for their money and I try to be reasonable in cost and ensure you get good service for your money. Personally I have also encountered those that are great until they get your money and then you cannot reach them for nothing. My office always takes care of current clients first which can delay responding to inquiries, but I know when I pay someone I want the same attention I got when they were trying to convince me to hire them. I am so glad I was able to help you.
I have been working with Ms. Mackay for a couple of years now, and hands down she has been the best attorney I have ever worked with. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and caring. I highly recommend her for anyone needing her assistance.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for your review.
Ms. Mackay is an exceptional attorney. She is very communicative throughout the whole process. Her assistant Ashley is also always available for any questions you may have. If you get a letter from the board, I highly refer Ms. Taralynn Mackay. She will get the job done!
Thank you for your kind words for both myself and Ashley. I appreciate the acknowledgement of the hard work she does at the office.
She's an exceptional lawyer, I can't be more satisfied with her. She's always there to answer any questions you might have and call with any update from the board. Please if you nurses are facing the board Taralynn is the right person for it. Contact her ..
Thank you so much.
I received notice from the board of a complaint from a previous employer. I attempted to rectify the situation myself but soon realized I needed expert representation for the matter. I felt pressured by the board to give in and sign an order that was totally inappropriate & career altering. Ms Mackay kept me informed (including all my options...the good the bad and the ugly). I went as far as a mediation with the board attorney. After my case was presented, I was told they were very impressed with my presentation of the case but I couldn't have done it without Ms Mackay! I couldn't have asked for a better, more fair outcome. I will forever be grateful. She initially did a complete free consultation, explained everything, answered any questions I had & handled all of the communication with the board. I appreciated her candidness and support. I will highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services.
Thank you for the kind words.
Absolutely thee BEST attorney, hands down! I had a very complex case involving a previous employer that made a false claim to the board. Taralynn was right there for me every step of 6 years. Very knowledgeable, excellent advice and direction to obtain the best outcome! I highly recommend!!!!!
Thank you so much for compliments.
In my time of need, in 2012, the same year my mom passed away, she took up my cause. She zealously protected my sole source of livelihood. It wasn't until 2014, two years later, that my state board of nursing finally cleared me of all trumped up cases my former employer tied me up with. I'm proud to state today, that I've completed my family NP degree from one of the best institutions of higher education in December 2018. By the way, my colleagues and patients think I'm a clinically sound nurse! Thank you, Ms. Mackay! Thanks a lot!!
Thank you.
