I had a really poor experience with Terry in a family law case. Whether it had to do with communications or simply just how he treated me as a paying client. If your expectation is that your attorney will have any sort of emotional intelligence towards you in a very vulnerable moment of your life. I would keep looking.

I would’ve rated him four stars until now. In 2010 I nearly died in a car accident and he helped me win the court case. It took 3 years to get anything, which was crazy but now that my daughter just turned 18, she’s entitled to her portion of the settlement but we can’t get him to call us back! The bank won’t let her touch it without a release letter from him but no one will call us back!!!! I’ve tried emailing, I’ve tried calling but we are unable to get anywhere. I’m beyond angry and annoyed with him!

Please read before calling! I hired Terry to be my lawyer following a minor crash that left me with horrible whiplash. What followed after hiring him was nothing short of terrible customer service. It took eight months for them even to START my case, as they stated that they had a full workload. Next, getting a hold of him or his staff was next to impossible! They were never "available" and I had to forward emails back to them several times to get a response, or they would be out of the office constantly. I understand lawyers are busy but 24 hours is plenty of time to say "I'll let you know!" And the BEST part of this whole debacle is that after a settlement was finally reached, Terry took six more months to negotiate terms on the liens due. He also would not listen to my concerns regarding balance billing. He wanted to settle with a treatment facility and told me that even though they hadn't filed a lien with the county that they could still collect on it. I had to call another law office and legal aid to learn that this is ILLEGAL! I then called the treatment facility negotiator myself and mentioned this fact of NO lien filed, and they dropped the total amount due!! This was a HUGE mistake on his part that he was not willing to admit or apologize. Had I listened to Terry I would have lost over 25% of my settlement.

Listens well, explains our options, then follows through. Mr. Fong resolved a legal matter for us that had been been very troubling. He even gave us options to save us money!

Doesnt answer phone calls or emails, doesnt seem to care about his clients. Very dissappointed. Sends unpreparred fill-in lawyers to important court dates, Doesn't get neccessary documentation that is needed for court, then says "not my fault" I didnt have it.
