Four years ago and two years before my dad passed who had a traumatic brain energy and was dying of cancer we went to Mr. Allen to have will and power of attorney drawn up. I went to original appt with my father. I was living in NC at the time and called Mr. Allen to make sure everything was done and dad had all the paperwork he needed. He was very snarky like it was none of my business when I was power of attorney. Did not tell us other options I found out later would have been easier. Told me to call if I needed any help with will down the road. Two years go by and my dad passed. I called Mr Allen back and was told he could do nothing for me now I would need an estate attorney ( as my father’s situation was no longer his problem now that he passed ) but this was never told to me before. He also didn’t tell me a financial power of attorney takes weeks to process through the bank so when I had an emergency with a family member all the paperwork we had paid for was meaningless. Don’t recommend

First of all, when I first called, he gave me honest advise without hounding me for money. I waited 4 months until I was able to be eligible for him to take on my case, this was because of his honesty and took time out to give me smart advice. The staff at that office was very friendly and helped me through my process. I've always had my doubts about lawyers, but Mr. Allen really went above and beyond to complete my case. Mr. Allen had horrible customer service. He asked for all of my papaer work and told me when to call him. I called several times and spoke to his assistant each time. However he never called me back. I even emailed him but no response. Very unprofessional.

I can’t say enough good things about the Allen Law Firm! The secretaries were super friendly, and David was just the nicest guy. He really helped me get ready for my court appointment, and I walked in feeling confident and prepared. Plus, his rates were totally reasonable. I had the best experience with this law firm. From the first phone call all the way to the completion of my case. This is now my law firm.

Reached out to this law firm and was told someone would get back to me within a couple of days. I never heard back so three days later I reached back out. I was told again that he has been in court and will reach out to me before the end of the week. Never heard anything back again. Called back two weeks later spoke to the same person and she informed me that he has been busy and she was going to make sure he called me that week. Since then it has been another week with no word. Very unprofessional And sad that no one could just pick up the phone to give me a call. Do not recommend!

The Allen Law Firm staff is amazing. I could write a book on the compassion and integrity of this office. My 2 minor children and 1 adult child are in the process of being adopted by my husband (yes, adults can be adopted, which was news to me). Mr. Allen has proved to be extremely knowledgeable in this area. Mr. Allen and his firm have worked together to make this process as easy as possible. I really appreciate their expertise! Even though the Allen Law Firm is handling a family law matter for us, I know they handle all types of other cases too.
