Lance and Lisa helped my brother during a very difficult time when he had few options. Given the circumstances, Lance achieved the best possible outcome for where my brother was in his life. I live in another state and found Lance online after speaking with several attorneys. He was clearly the best fit for our needs. He even returned my call on the Fourth of July, and Lisa quickly arranged a Zoom meeting that immediately put me at ease. Although we never met in person, they kept us informed through calls and emails, making the process smooth without requiring extra travel. This was our family’s first experience with the legal system, and I had many questions. They were always responsive, patient, and thorough, never making me feel like a burden. I appreciated the personal attention of a small office where we didn’t feel like just another case. I highly recommend Lance and Lisa—they make a great team.

Never got to actually talk to Mr. Baker, but his assistant was rude and absolutely no help. For instance, she misgendered me, by calling me “Ms. Yu,” instead of Mr. Yu. When I noted to her she has got the wrong person, she insisted that I am a female because she stated my name is a feminine name and assumed without asking for clarification, indicating I am a female when I am not. At this point I was aggravated. I explained that to her that she cannot assume because it is inappropriate to assume things without conclusive evidence, she was also unprofessional by replying to me with a Samsung Galaxy Android Logo. Very disappointed with her handling of service. Thus, I strongly do not recommend this law firm. Update: (December 26th, 2025): I contacted the firm privately on November 4, 2025, and requested a correction to the owner’s public reply because it contained inaccurate statements about my interaction with their office. I provided full documentation and requested a response within ten (10) business days. As of December 26, 2025, I have not received any reply from the owner or the assistant, and no correction has been made to the public response.

I cannot thank Lance Baker enough for giving a family member a new lease on life. Lance knows what to do to get a sentence reduced, dismissed, and even expunged. Lance was up front about his fee and allowed my family to pay him in installments over 6 months. Lance's office was quick to respond when my family member got in trouble. If you make a mistake and get sideways with the law, Lance is a great option in East Tennessee. He is well respected.

Lance, seemed like a great lawyer on the phone when he called to take on my husbands traffic violation, he made some promises like “I just had lunch with this judge, I could have gotten it taken care of them”, “I can possibly get this dismissed before his court appearance”. I called two days before to make sure we had to appear in court, and it hadn’t gotten dismissed, his receptionist said he would be in court “you have to appear to get is dismissed”……. Now today, My husband showed up, meet with Lance Baker (who didn’t even know the case information) he had to ask my husband questions to be informed. Question he should have known! For example what was the traffic violation for, what company he worked for, etc, while waiting in court. Promises were broke, did not get what we wanted, ended up with points. I feel he could not have given us the time of day, and due to this we suffered.

This law firm won't help you with any type of civil rights case unless they get multi-millions out of it if a cop breaks your jaw or kills you that's all they literally told me that they'll handle they don't care about the fact that cops violate your civil rights by arresting you and unlawfully detain you arrest you put you in jail when the judge signs papers stating that you were released in 2021 and 2023 and they still pick you up in 2025 at a cash register push you up against the register and proceeded to send you to jail without your medication make you stay in two different jails and tell you can get released by the judge they don't want to handle any kind of case unless they get millions of dollars on your behalf they want to turn around to give you 10,000 off of a million they don't care about your life don't use this law firm
