Wrongful DUI case took 2 years to resolve and over $5,700. Attorney wouldn't communicate for months and then contacted me periodically to explain reasons to need more money. At least four or five times my appearances were rescheduled or Troy Bowlin didn't even show up to court and it had to be rescheduled. Troy Bowlin was even suspended for misappropriation of funds while I had his services retained. After more investigation I learned that this law firm and Troy Bowlin have been suspended for multiple reasons in the past. It's hard to decide who is more corrupt and greedy, the police departments or lawyers.

I was in need of an attorney quickly and I contacted the Bowlin Law Firm. I spoke with one of his staff members and explained my situation. Mr Bowlin contacted me immediately and after explaining my problem he was extremely personable, up-front from the start, responsive to my questions, and put my mind at ease. The representation he provided to me was second to none and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking legal council.

I had 2 cases I came to The Bowlin Law Firm over! Criminal and divorces! When my ex wife tried to destroy my life and drag my name through the mud! And lie on so many things. I honestly didn’t know what to do! I heard about the Bowlin Law Firm! After I contacted them they got me in for a immediate consultation to start reviewing my case! Which was awesome because I took longer than I should to Start this process! Which to my surprise they still capitalized and was able to get everything done! I was very satisfied with Troy and his staff! I would recommended you to anyone I know! Thanks for everything!!!!!!!

The good: My wife and I retained Troy Bowlin to represent my son, who was falsely accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer (school resource officer) at a high school football game. This charge led to his expulsion from school for the remainder of the year. He was an "A" student with no previous misconduct record or history of violence towards anyone. Mr. Bowlin also represented us in meetings with the school board in an attempt to try and get our son back in school so he could graduate with his class. We succeeded in convincing the school board to allow him to return to school after 30 days of alternative school, although he had not been convicted of any crime. This was achieved by threatening the school board with a civil lawsuit for multiple improprieties on their part in handling the situation. Later, the charge of assault of a LEO was dropped by the judge in juvenile court after the officer who was supposedly assaulted testified that she was not. Two other charges of trespassing and resisting arrest were deferred. We were pleased with the performance of Mr. Bowlin in meetings with the school board and in the criminal trial. After the criminal trial, Mr. Bowlin told us he thought we had "good" case for a civil lawsuit against the arresting officer and his employer for assault on my son. He told us it was best to wait until right before the one year deadline to file the lawsuit. The bad: There were multiple instances we attempted to get status updates from Mr. Bowlin's office to no avail. We would go months without getting any case updates. When we did contact someone by phone they were not knowledgeable and showed no desire to provide an update. We were set-up on the "My Case" website and I think we were the only one's that used it. My wife and I accumulated all of the evidence and witness statements used in the case. The biggest disappointment in our experience with Mr. Bowlin was after several discussions leading up to the time to file the civil lawsuit against the arresting officer and his employer, Mr. Bowlin was telling us we had a "good" case. He also stated that he was concerned that our son would agree to a lesser settlement since he was now an adult. Then, when it was near the deadline to file the lawsuit, he started telling us that he thought our son's injuries weren't serious enough (even though he had access to son's medical records from day one) and he also stated that he was going to stop doing civil lawsuits against the government because of the difficulty of getting a good settlement. We thought about checking with other lawyers and see if someone else might be more optimistic in taking the lawsuit, but at that point we were running out of time and mentally drained from dealing with it. Mr. Bowlin didn't say he wouldn't take the case, but based on his discouraging statements, and of course he needed more money, we decided to cut our losses and take the first offer from the arresting officer's employer, in an attempt to at least recoup some of our legal expenses. The settlement payment would go through Mr. Bowlin. After 3 months of not hearing anything, I emailed Mr. Bowlin asked for a status update of the settlement payment. He said they had "just approved orders" and he would let me know when payment would be available. I got a email from him 4 months later saying he would send us a check via FeDex once I sent him a mailing address. I sent him a mailing address the same day. After 2 more emails and 5 weeks later we finally got a check and discovered he took 40% of the settlement for himself without mentioning this at any time previously or providing any type of itemized invoice. My advice to anyone that has never hired a lawyer: 1. Shop around. Don't go with the first lawyer you meet. Even after you retain a lawyer, seek advice from other lawyers at critical points. 2. Make sure payment terms are clear and up front. 3. Record all conversations if possible.

Wonderful Law.Firm! Mr. Bowlin and his team will go.above and beyond for you . My was divorce was high profile and I was certainly the underdog going in but thankfully I made it through with my expectations fromnthe divorce being done. Had it not been for Mr. Bowlin this would have never happened! And his former Secretary Katie . She was absolutely wonderful! Read his reviews they speak for theirselves. He is one amazing lawyer.
