free speech, anti-SLAPP: successful victory with with attorney fees paid to home owner

I contacted the Chandra Law Firm 2wks ago I was told it would be 3wks before someone got back in contacted with me I have a serious case in reading the reviews about how compassionately others have been represented and with speed I'm not having this experience at all. I'm being contacted via text by one of their representatives and not in a timely fashion. This is a update after I posted this review the owner of the law firm called me and asked me to take down my review I explained to him my review is a accurate account of the level of service I received and I was not going to remove it. I was shocked that he called me he seemed to be more concerned about damage control than the service I received as a potential client. Smh😔

I do not recommend this law firm. They prioritize themselves over our rights and, like many attorneys, avoid the big confrontations. Even if there's a clear violation of civil rights, if the battle seems too challenging or expensive, it’s irrelevant to them. They prefer straightforward cases and shy away from anything that might require significant effort. Update Certainly, it wasn't Jessie who asked for your help; it was me, and you turned me down. I must remain anonymous because exercising our freedoms can be dangerous these days. People can face repercussions for asserting their rights, which is why I contacted you. I'm frustrated with civil rights attorneys who profess to defend these rights but hesitate when opportunities to act arise. This situation would have been complicated. I don't need to be a trained lawyer or paralegal to see when rights are being violated. The government has infringed on my rights twice, and each time I sought help from various attorneys, all of whom were unsatisfactory. You don't genuinely support everyone's civil rights. Is it that the potential investment in the case isn’t worth the time or compensation? It should be when it comes to holding the government accountable and correcting their errors. You just don’t appear to share that perspective. I would have more rights as a criminal. I was wrong about your firm. The reviews are deceiving.

I am a pediatrician in private practice in the Cleveland area for over 25 years. As leader of a group of 600 progressive physicians, I was approached by Mr. Chandra about a law that limited doctor participation in various state of Ohio political races. Many doctors were being denied the right to support candidates of their choice. Under Mr. Chandra's guidance we were able to successfully challenge the law via a suit against the Ohio Secretary of State. The Secretary, holding substantial powers in the state, was able to fund extensive appeals and fee challenges, but Mr. Chandra and his outstanding firm sustained the challenge over many years and ultimately prevailed all together. Free speech was defended, truth was spoken to power, the rights of regular citizens were protected, all by the virtue, integrity, legal acumen, and persistence of this great man and firm.
