Sent an email request to Cynthia Follick regarding a case I have. In her reply email she had several questions. When I called to answer the questions she asked I was treated rude and told "I cannot give legal advice!" I never ask legal questions only answering the ones she posed. Take your business elsewhere when treated unprofessional by a lower level secretary.. as it speaks volumes for the firm.

I reached out to this firm regarding a case against a local body shop. I came to the conclusion the fight was going to end up more as one of principle than actually accomplishing anything useful. However, the gentleman at Consumer Law Group that took my phone call and the paralegal that examined my "case" prior to any charges being accrued by this firm were extremely helpful. They were also realistic. I read a few other reviews on this site griping about consult fees? Do you have any idea how difficult and subjective this field of law can be? I for one appreciated the time and effort taken to research my issue and then having come to a resolution that this may not be worth it. No one tried to push a consult on me, and they gave me quite a bit of consideration before proceeding. I would caution anyone who feels entitled to a "free" consultation with a lawyer to remember that they are a resource, and their knowledge and time are valuable. My experience with this firm is that they went above and beyond to help me consider my possible outcome and overall circumstance (no legal advice was given, but they asked the RIGHT questions to make ME think) before charging me a dime and potentially wasting everyone's time and money.

One hell of a lawyer and law group. I reached out to them with a Vehicle purchase out of Virginia Beach, VA. Shady dealership and owner. It was a long shot and he believed in my case. He knew he would win little money on the deal we made. But he fought for me and was relentless. We won!

$375 for a consultation and they have attitudes and it seems like you’re a bother to them. Horrible experience.

Completely rude. Scott’s said to me an I quote he is not interested in law. When I ask him to repeat it he said I’m interested in if they did something wrong, we can’t help you an hung up the phone. Theses consumers lawyers seem to be just as fraudulent as the banks. They need to fire him.

This group was aggressive, forthcoming, and tireless in advocating for me and guided me expertly in navigating a legal confrontation which involved the adversarial party attempting intimidation and trickery. Instead, thanks to The Consumer Law Group, I was able to confidently demand fair treatment and secure assets necessary to demand fair treatment not only informally and in person but also to demonstrate that I would be able to do so in court, resulting in the surrender of the adversarial party to reasonable terms. Never got back with me

Needed information on lemon law in Virginia. Received a very informative response and documents needed to pursue. The intake person I spoke with was very nice and very willing to help.

I am not writing this to be spiteful but to give my experience. Which overall, was not a good one. and in hindsight, there were flags that I should've paid attention to. I hired this office to represent me against Merlex Auto on them selling me a vehicle that they labelled as perfectly working, which it wasn't. One flag that was raised, was John requesting HALF of the judgment after paying him nearly 3000 dollars to get started. It's customary for lawyers to request a third but John wanted half. it caused me back away from the representation and to use said money on fixing my car but he assured me that he saw a few flags in the case that gave him a good feeling. from then to the day of representation, their were numerous times that I had to resend papers that were already sent, buy a carfax with my money (which was misplaced), and on the day of representation, In mediation, it felt like the joke was on me and I was the only person in the room that was just finding out. At times, i felt the lawyers were too familiar with each other. my lawyer was aggressive with questioning, when he should've been. he refused to ask questions to the other party which I raised. For him to be the lead lawyer of the practice, I definitely expected more from him that day. often, during the mediation I asked myself "why didn't you just use this money to fix the car?", it was money down the drain that i could've seriously used in the situation. Afterwards, I can remember vividly standing in the lobby with Mr. Gayle as he acknowledged that things didn't go so well and saying " I wish I would caught that disclaimer earlier..." and 10 seconds later asking, "do you want to pay me now the remaining 200-300 dollars for me traveling here?" I was so angry driving home that night... this costed me money, energy, and time. i felt like such a fool for paying someone to represent me like this. This was my experience.
