This guy is incompetent beyond belief. Hilariously so. Four different frivolous lawsuits with this guy and I won - all 4 - without any legal representation. Let that sink in as to how incompetent beyond words this guy is. My former landlord, Michael McLaughlin, an alleged "realtor", tried to evict me twice, for cutting back a highly toxic, to people and pets, weed that had completely overtaken my 4 foot narrow private stairwell to my apartment. I had two private stairwells exclusively to my unit. The weed could kill my dog, cat or myself and cause severe skin irritation if even touched, which was problematic as the thing dropped leaves non stop. My landlord then blocked my second private stairwell essentially blocking my ER path of egress. When I moved the absurd amount of plants on the stairwell - he literally called 911 on me. I have the 911 call. He lies repeatedly in this call. James Courtney clearly didn't care though. All he saw was dollar signs. Oh - you live in I'On and you're rich? I'lm gonna take your money even if I have zero chance of winning this frivolous lawsuit. James called me and then texted me (text? so unprofessional) before our first court date to offer a settlement. Settlement because I was right and you were wrong and they knew they had zero chance of winning. When I asked him to email me and put everything in writing - he refused and then blatantly lied to the judge stating I refused to speak with him. The first two lawsuits were evictions that were denied by the judge. I was to be paid money for this frivolous lawsuit, which never happened because James refused to put the items we agreed to in writing. When I moved, even tho I left my apartment spotless Michael felt he didn't have to return my security deposit. I told him repeatedly I would sue him if I didn't get my security deposit back. Yup - you guessed it - I sued Michael and James was more than happy to take his money yet again. I won those two suits as well. All while James was so smug, dismissive and downright sexist in his followup emails to me. This guy is nothing more than an insecure bully who insulted me repeatedly. It was bad enough he did it in email but he also lied to the judge repeatedly and treated me like trash during court. He also insisted on getting current address so he could potentially sue me a 5th time. Seriously dude?!? You're a joke. He clearly has issues with women and in particular women who are smarter than him. After all - I beat him 4 times without a lawyer. But sure - try and sue me a 5th time Jimbo.
