The Disability Group was a great partner in my fight to acquire SSDI. The staff was very supportive, answered my numerous calls and emails. They helped gather all the important documentation for my reviews, appeals and court date. With their knowledge of the system, what disability is looking for and the correct answers ready and available, I was able to win my case. They were the best partnership ,and I would recommend reaching out to them to see if they could help you.

Response from owner

Thank you, Sue. It was a pleasure getting to know you and helping you with your claim.

Very professional and they got me the results I was hoping for. They took the time to fully evaluate my claim, were very thorough, and were very professional in discussing uncomfortable issues. I never felt pressured always felt like it wasn’t just about getting money and dragging out my claim so they could make more money. They got me great results in an acceptable amount of time. It’s not overnight but nothing is with the government. Would highly recommend them for representation of your claim(s).

I do not know where to begin. I was referred to Faye from another vet who raved about her service. I made the call and I tell you what. That was one of the smartest things I have ever done. Kind, caring, compassionate, quick to respond, if anyone is reading this and is on the fence about using a lawyer please do yourself a favor and call Faye! This Vet and his family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Response from owner

Thank you for the kind words. We are so grateful you chose us to help you!

My sincere thanks to my amazing disability attorney Faye Schofield Gunter for a successful outcome on my claim!! Her professionalism, honest/clear guidance, knowledge of the process along with her diligence and meticulous attention to detail in all her preparations was exceptional . Her expertise in knowing what information to present and how to present it to a Judge ultimately resulted in the approval of my claim.

To all of my brothers and sisters of the armed forces, I could not recommend to you anyone better than Faye and her team at the disability group. She was very responsive to any questions that I had and she went to another level to take care of me and my family. In my case I was at 60% for 17 years. The disability group was able to get me an increase to 80% as of now with the possibility of 90 or 100% in the future. So even if you have a current percentage you should still contact them to see if you qualify for more. Highly recommend...

Response from owner

Thank you for the kind words. We are grateful you chose us and we look forward to working toward the highest rating possible!

I have been a local most of my life, before serving in special operations for 5 years, and returning to Panama City, ultimately receiving a masters in social work, before serving the local area for 8 years, as a therapist and counselor. Primarily veterans, but also kids with autism :) I unfortunately am writing to try and make more potential clients aware of some of my experiences, especially after noticing some reviews endorsing this place happen to be attorneys and other legal affiliates, instead of formal clients, which is very unethical. I came to Faye when she was still practicing out of a building near the Navy Base on the beach, and advertising from her Gunter Legal site. I had my VA forms meticulously organized, and all the clinical info and DSM contrasts needed to highlight previous areas of discrepancy in my unfavorable VA decisions. I was impressed by Faye the first time I met her, as she was very good at talking a big game. Sadly, over the next year, there would be an extreme lack of transparency, an awkward e mail where she blamed the VA for losing my submissions for a claim that should have been a year old or more. I used my MyHealtheVet premium account to verify that no submission had ever been made on my behalf, after Faye brought up this issue, claiming it had been in the system and then "deleted" by the VA. Over the next month, I followed up with VA staff on the general info line, learning how to track Faye's submissions and work on my behalf through MyHealtheVet Premium / Gold. Faye had been resistant to my requests to review this information with me, citing that her other clients never requested or received such a service. Please note: the photo attached is advertising the same services Faye insisted other clients didn't receive, and that she resisted providing me with. I had voiced many concerns over the next few months, before I terminated her service, that she was pushing the evidence towards a rating that was not in line with what I had been advocating towards for the past decade, She labeled these concerns as redundant in an e mail my VA judge was kind enough to review with me and consider, during my hearing. After Faye again refused to give me information on what info had been submitted, and refused my request to terminate services the day I asked (or even explain how I could do so on my own to save her time). I was able to talk to a nice woman on the VA hotline, once more, and send a very crudely drawn paper to the VA that invoked my right to terminate representation. Faye had said that she would submit the termination the coming Monday, but after I followed up a few hours later, showing her I had taken initiative on my own, in the absence of client education and assistance, she was able to submit the same thing to the VA within minutes, and I still show people those correspondences, too. The time lost through Faye didn't override my request or cause any confusion with my case, and the emergency escalation I had requested due to financial struggles was approved within two weeks. Faye had insisted that the VA always takes years, and my knowledge of how to advocate or appeal was regularly overlooked or flat-out ignored. My disability was approved after submitting the very same evidence Faye had resisted discussing or reviewing, when I was still struggling to understand why everything was progressing so differently than we discussed. I had a hospitalization for a suicide attempt she was "too busy with other clients," to submit, as well. Some attorneys do think they are a higher class of person than their clients, and the worst thing you can do is let someone like that represent you. You will suffer greatly, and wait longer than most. Your pleas for assistance will cause you to be looked down on, and you will be treated even more like a lower form of person. Check the date of bar certification in your state database as well, you will find it often contrasts with their advertised "decades of experience," and they are educated enough to know they are giving you a false impression.

I first emailed the disability group as I don't wish to speak on initiation over the phone. I was told to call back when they are open. The disability group is not open Friday. I called and spoke to a fine woman who after a minute of conversation told me the SSDI denies all PTSD claims, and therefor cannot help me. The disability group does care about your disability. Get it.
