By far one of the best attorneys in South Carolina. Do not be led astray by any review about the Duffy Law Firm that states anything other than polite, professional, HARD working, dependable, honest, I could continue for the entire day! Mr. Duffy is diligent and refuses to allow his clients to be taken advantage of regardless of the situation at hand by providing the utmost professional representation. His office works tirelessly for his clients. He is a straightforward no-nonsense attorney. His work standards were far above what was expected of him and his office. His composure, work ethic and court presentations are admirable. If you are seeking excellent responsiveness, analytical skills, research, speaking and listening skills, as well as an attorney of whom has a passion for his work, then I assure you that you do not need to look any further than The Duffy Law Firm.

Wanted to charge me a $300 consult fee and couldn’t get me in for two weeks before Duffy even spoke to me that was just to come in and talk to him
Mr. Oliver, I normally don't respond to the one-star reviews because they are usually people that I have bested in Court, and they have sour grapes about it. Your review is different, and it brings up a topic that I hope others will see before calling with the same expectations of a free advice from this law office. <br><br>In certain cases, where we will be working on an hourly basis, we charge a consultation fee. (Criminal cases and contingency cases like Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury cases--are different—and are not charged hourly and there is no consultation fee for those cases.) That consultation fee reserves time on my calendar to devote to your issue and meet with you. If it is worth your time to meet with me, and it is worth my time to not work on other matters of importance to other clients, then you should be invested in the process, just like me. I learned long ago that folks will take free advice and run, because it is a service. They will also block time on my calendar and think nothing of not showing up--this is why you pay your fee before you get on my calendar--so you are invested in it also. You could not get in for two weeks because we are busy here--not everyone thinks we give one-star service--see the reviews below--and next week is the 4th of July. In seeing your other reviews, however, it does appear to be a common theme with your critique—a one-star mantra if you will. <br><br>I hope that you find an answer to whatever your question or issue was. I would offer this….be careful in getting free advice---as you get what you pay for.
