If I could give them 6 stars I would! I contacted Mr. Keener after being denied once in Florida at which time I was trying to handle it myself. When I moved to GA I decided to look into hiring an attorney. I found Mr. Keener online and gave him a call. He agreed to take my case and we began the process. My case was assigned to Ms. Lawrence who remained my case worker the entire time. I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Lawrence. She was always very professional while at the same time very empathetic to my situation. I think what impressed me the most was that she always did what she said she would do. If I called and she wasn't available, she would normally would call back the same day. If she said she was going to get an answer to any questions I had I usually had the answer the same day or the following day. It was a pleasure to work with her. Although I dealt with her the longest, I can honestly say that everyone I spoke with at the firm was very much the same. If your looking for an attorney who will go the distance for you and is a pro at navigating the crazy red tape and all the hoops you have to jump through, the Keener Law Firm is the one to go with. I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the legal services provided by Russell Keener at Keener Law Firm. I feel it is crucial to convey the serious concerns I have experienced, which have significantly impacted my case and overall experience. My primary concern revolves around the lack of engagement and perceived disinterest from Russell Keener regarding my specific situation. Despite the helpfulness and care extended by the support staff, the main lawyer appeared jaded and genuinely uninterested in understanding the nuances of my case. This lack of connection and empathy was deeply concerning, as it felt as though my unique circumstances were not being adequately considered. Furthermore, I was extremely disappointed and negatively impacted by the fact that Russell Keener did not appear for my initial hearing. This absence resulted in significant delays, costing me additional time and forcing me to wait months for a new hearing. Such an oversight is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of preparedness or commitment to my case. The advice I received often felt inconsistent and, at times, involved harsh and un compassionate statements. It appeared that when it was time for Russell Keener to perform essential duties, there was a consistent lack of familiarity or readiness concerning my case details. Given these experiences, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative legal representation. I believe it is important for potential clients to be aware of the issues I encountered, as they significantly detracted from the quality of representation and caused unnecessary stress and delay. Resulting in an epic fail and loss of case.

Unfortunately last year, March 2024 I suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). "The Keener Law Firm" was referred to help me with my Social Security application. In February of this year (2025) ad a 3+ hour conversation and "intake" with a kind woman. That's over 7 hours of talking with their firm. When I wasn't getting updates (it's August 2025 now) I sent them a message in my client portal and Ms. Keener called me for another one hour call. Today, on of her staff left a voicemail that they are dropping me as a client. 1. No reason as to why. 2. Ms. Keener didn't give me the dignity after all of these phone calls and time to call me herself. The staff are very sweet at Keener Law firm - but you want your attorney to "be on your team" and this is shocking treatment as I am mentally ill. I have to remember all the people I have referred to them - and tell them I got dumped, by a staff member, and without reason. RUDE.
