I wish that Google review had a Warning or Red Flag alert so that people can get a heads up and a warning not to trust certain ratings, lacking proof of an honest rating. Thereby saving themselves money and future aggravation. Here is an example... I am from Illinois. I recently needed to hire a new business / contract attorney in New Orleans Louisiana. I found a 5-star review on The Khan Law Firm LLC; / Shermin S. Khan attorney website, written by a Susan Falcon of New Orleans. She lauded Shermin S. Khan attorney firm, which claims to have expertise in over 70 different fields of law practice. I had Susan Falcon's cases investigated and found that Atty. Shermin Khan LOST all 5 cases pertaining to this Susan Falcon and her family. Shermin Khan LOST Susan Falcon Civil Court case no. 2024-CA-0113, LOST David Zeke Falcon Civil Court case no.2023-07439. LOST David Kelly Falcon Civil Court case no.2023-07436. LOST David Falcon Sr. Municipal Court case no.1276239. LOST David Falcon Jr. Municipal Court case no.1276238. There is nothing I have found, not any reason whatsoever, not a single successful trial in defense of this Susan Falcon, for her to give this Law firm five stars! How is it possible that someone who lost every case connected to this one family is allowed to post the highest review possible on Google reviews: for the Khan Law Firm LLC; / Shermin S. Khan attorney, while having absolutely no reason except perhaps (ulterior motive) to promote this firm that has lost every case they were hired to represent? Perhaps having a system in place on Google review and all rating review apps etc; could help demonstrate why they are worthy any rating of 1-5 stars with proof that should be required, in a Fact checking system that requires more provable reasons for more stars - No proof no stars and a RED FLAG! Etc;

I had requested to have a lawyer to represent me and had an appointment to submit material evidence that are fact finding and the lawyer said to me that this is frivolous and i don't have a case. My evidence was submitted within the recorder as given notice but the lawyer wrote my materials off without establishing the proof of my claim she just assumed that the process of UCC wasn't possible and in her conclusion she didn't appear knowledgeable under an administrative claim under Maritime Law.

Very unprofessional and non helpful. The young woman on the phone dismissed me because she was “preparing for trial” which I doubt she’ll win the case based off her enthusiasm on the phone.

Shermin was brilliant in the courtroom. I could not have been more impressed. She won my case and more. I feel very safe with Shermin and her staff during this contentious process.

Completely unprofessional !! I scheduled an appointment They called to cancel and reschedule. Less than an hour before my appointment with no explanation. I come in for the second time And she tells me she has to run an errand before she can see me not even 5 minutes before my appointment time. I continued to wait for her for over an hour and a half before leaving because she never showed back up and they closed while I was waiting. If this is how you treat your clients I don't want to be one

I was served last night with my first legal issue (civil) - this was completely unexpected and terrifying. Once I read the document, I did research by reading reviews on civil attorneys into the late night. Filled out 3 consultation forms on 3 different law firm websites. The Khan Law Firm, LLC was my first choice. Why? I picked them because the first thing you see on their website is women - beautiful colored women , both with impressive backgrounds. The reviews on them were great. I had it in my head they would definitely lead me in the right direction even if they did not take my case. Today, I called Khan Law Firm and spoke with Ms. Shalahn. She was not personable or kind. I asked if there was any availability for a free consultation or if there was a fee. I didn’t even get a chance to explain my situation. She advised me that they were booked and to call the bar association and that I needed to do research. The bar association is or could be in Baton Rouge per Shalahn. I thanked her and carried on. Not sure whether they were actually booked or maybe she just didn’t want to be bothered by me. I’m terrified by a legal issue in the first place. Don’t call this place for seeking for first time assistance. It’ll only make you feel worse. Anyways, I found a great, HELPFUL attorney towards the end of the day. Maybe that’s rare with free consultations.

My experience with The Khan Law Firm was unforgettable. I was very apprehensive about working with a law firm but the staff there was very compassionate and comforting, things you wouldn’t think about a law firm. 10/10 recommend!!!
