Incompetent, heartless, and irresponsible. Do not waste your money. My lawyer left the firm half way through the case then I had Erica Bertini whose poor bedside manner was only matched by her heartlessness and incompetence. The firm also doesn’t use a management program so I was overcharged for calls, repetitive and unnecessary work. Also, if you have coercive control as a form of domestic violence in your case, steer clear. This firm has no idea how to represent you and will steer you away from it in your case. All you will hear is the trust needs to be paid. I requested a subpoena be issued in my case 2 months prior to my court date, because I was behind in my trust they refused to do the work, finally issued it, did it incorrectly so it was rejected, which resulted in there being no time to get it, a key piece of evidence in my case. I had an absolutely awful experience, so don’t believe the reviews, these people do not care about what you are going through or care about your outcome, they just want you to keep the trust filled. They do not care about your children or the trauma happening or caused by your ex partner.

Shimon Kohn, PC, a Criminal Defense Attorney located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and business owner of The Kohn Law Firm, handled my case regarding an auto accident that occurred in August 2024. I had always strived to maintain a good driver’s record. However, at 9 pm one dark night, it happened that I failed to come to a full stop at a designated Stop sign. Additionally, I was driving over the speed limit. Tragically, this accident resulted in the fatality of a person. I was very scared at the age of 76, and Shimon Kohn explained the process of how he would defend me, and he advised that it would be a long drawn-out ordeal. He discussed with me what he perceived should be the possible outcome according to the State of Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles Laws. He consistently communicated that he was available any time to answer my questions to ease my worries. He was compassionate and effective with his 25 years of experience and very knowledgeable about the justice system. Shimon Kohn worked tirelessly to defend me, and he calmly and patiently supported me with my inexperience in this matter. This ordeal was extremely stressful for me with my various health issues (cancer, diabetes, etc.). During the time waiting for charges to be assigned, I became aware that severe penalties due to a death of a person from an auto accident are a possibility. Four months after the accident, the charges that the State of Colorado brought against me were shocking and added complexities to the strategies for Shimon Kohn to defend me. Shimon Kohn remained committed to defending me with great customer service and professionalism! Due to the tragic circumstances associated with my case, I am most appreciative of Shimon Kohn’s efforts to achieve a fair assessment and judgment. I am profoundly grateful for his outstanding commitment and excellent integrity in handling of my case.
