I much like the other person in the reviews had gone to Mr.Gunn seeking a divorce around 2019 like others have mentioned not a single thing was resolved I just figured out own my own that I am still very much married this is after Mr. Gunn has been unresponsive to emails and voicemails I believe I didn’t even get a notice of him withdrawing himself. What I did receive is a bill for 3,000 on Christmas Eve. Steer clear it’s not worth it I have never had a professional act like this much less how he treats his clients also moved offices with out informing clients

I hired Mr. Gunn to represent me in my divorce and custody in July 2019. He never answered my emails, phone calls, or questions. He had me come on to prep for court 3 times and cancelled/rescheduled the court date each time so I wasted my time and money having to use vacation days to meet with him. He never seems in a rush to try and get anything moving for my case. He frequently forgot who I was and any details about my kids/situation. Every court document had information missing/wrong and I had to personally go over everything myself for accuracy. When he finally did return a phone call, he thought my divorce was final and said he ceased to be my lawyer when that happened! (Still very much married!) Today, Sept 11, 2020, I received a letter in the mail saying he withdrew himself as my lawyer. I haven’t spoken to him in over a month! Do not waste your money on him. I’m out $2000 and no closer to getting a divorce than I was before.

Where do I start? I was the non-custodial father of 4 daughters from a prior relationship. One of my daughters would not speak to me and I had trouble overcoming the enormous obstacles that non-custodial fathers face in this world regarding my children. David Gunn's office built a team that helped me .. a guy.. the non custodial father obtain primary custody of the daughter that wanted to live with me. Additionally, his office helped me to repair the heavily damaged relationship that I had with the daughter who would not speak to me before. Everything I had ever been told is that men have no rights or chances in family court. David Gunn proved to me that we are all equal under the law with actual, measurable results. I would be doing a great disservice to his office if I did not also mention Mrs. Rutledge. She helped me to stay focused emotionally on the bigger picture and no matter how hard things seemed at the moment her kind, positive and patient nature with me had a major portion in helping me to keep going. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart forever, for being the all star team that saved my family.

David got me primary custody of both of my kids from their mother in 2013 and has helped keep it that way ever since. He is the BEST attorney that you can get for family matters in the Houston area. He has since gotten 3 of my friends custody of their kids as well and he never gives up!!!

David is a very unreliable slime ball who took my money upfront and did little to nothing for me.... My case was unnecessarily delayed for a year due to needless postponing.... I continuously sent him emails regarding the status of my case, but he NEVER responded to my emails. VERY VERY UNRESPONSIVE.... I had to settle my own child support with the OAG to get my child support reduced per the new orders. He never took care of it nor did he care to do so.... I spent over 5 hours on the phone with the OAG to get it settled. I asked for mediation for 6 months straight, but he just kept ignoring me.... Then a week before my mediation appointment he sent me an email notifying me of his intent to withdraw as my attorney of record.... What a JERK.... He took my money and then decided to drop me last minute, knowing I had just been in a major accident requiring surgery, which made me immobile.... I called him to find out the reason for his motion to withdraw as my representing attorney, and the unprofessional slime ball said he couldn't speak to me and hung up..... STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY FROM THIS RAT.... $3,000.00 thrown away.... SLIME BALL.... P.S. I went to mediation today and was able to finalize my case without an attorney....
