The Law Firm of Gil Colón, Jr.

Terrible service, you hire them and you have to pay in advance, but they will provide good service, you call them, ask a question and agree to call you, but they never call you. I've been doing this for a year and my divorce hasn't worked out yet. They never call you, you always have to remind them of things. It's incredible, I don't recommend them.

This law firm is the best. They kept me and my family in the loop every step of while we were dealing with this serious issue with my cousin. Top notch firm and just overall great people. Thank you again Gil!!!

This is the worst law firm experience ever. It’s been 23 months with the ongoing case & i have not been able to get this lawyer on the phone not one time & not one call back from this guy. Everytime u call the office the front desk gives u the cold shoulder & they say they will call back & DONT. Not to mention we have paid him in full…Communication is horrible they don’t keep u up dated & they don’t make u feel like they have your back. Definitely would not recommend him to no one, way better lawyers out there for Polk county. What a waist of 15k first & LAST TIME that I use Gil Colon….. word on the street is he is the best, but I haven’t seen that at all it’s been over 2 years and he has only showed up to court 2 times other then that he has his paralegal show up for him….. . Talk is cheap & he is full of lies.

Not to be trusted, lies to his clients and family. Look for someone who cares about your case and not just the money. Trust me keep looking.

Disappointed they wouldn't take case

Well my family members case, that Mr. Colon is representing, seemed to be going good. At least I thought. Now I'm starting to get a little nervous and I'm worried about my family member. When I call there before, I would get the cold shoulder from the assistant, or whoever answers the phone. I thought, since Mr. Colon was court appointed, that the assistant figured we didn't deserve her time. I am just praying that Mr. Colon doesn't feel the same way. I am still hoping that the rumors are not true about appointed lawyers, which is that a lawyer appointed to a case really doesn't fight for his client. That they really are not treated like a paying client. They are represented, but only enough to be walked through the system, not defended. I guess it's like being made to go to mass. You do everything that is expected of you when everybody is watching, but they can't really tell if your heart is in it. Mr Colon I pray that your heart is in this case. Because it doesn't matter who is watching but Him......

Mr. Colon and his office are exceptional! They helped my family in one of the worst situations one can face when it comes to family. Our family case and criminal cases were both handled with the most aggressive and professional representation. In the end the charges which were unfounded were dropped and our family was able to reunite with more than excellent results in our family case! I tell anyone if you want the best results head to this office. They treat you like family and take your case personal!
