Sacramento, CA
After my Mother was neglected in our local hospital and sustained a horrible bed sore,I contacted Sean. We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding representation we received. From the very beginning, he treated our family with compassion and professionalism. Elder abuse and neglect cases are emotional and difficult, but he guided us every step of the way and fought tirelessly for justice. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, we won our case. We highly recommend him to anyone needing an attorney who truly cares and delivers results.
I contacted Sean R. Laird A Sacramento Elder abuse Attorney after being abused at the nursery home I was in. Mr. Laird took my case as it was very important to me that treatment for Seniors may change in the future. Seniors should not be afraid and abused in those places. Mr Laird was patient and very kind to me. He listened to my every word. I feel that I was heard and my financial income was great. I would recommend Mr. Sean Laird law firm over and over again.
Thank you Nancy! We take such great pride in our work fighting elder abuse and nursing home neglect and you were an amazingly brave client. I was happy to be your attorney!
Sean Laird was so professional, kind, and understanding when working with my mother after she was severely neglected by the nursing home she resided in. Sean assisted in getting an extremely desirable financial outcome, but also assured that my mother’s voice was heard after all she endured! Most importantly, Sean made us feel that her case would make a difference in the treatment of future residents of the facility, which was an important goal throughout her case! I could not recommend his services enough!
That you Serina for advocating on behalf of your mom and supporting her in her battle against nursing home neglect. I was proud to be your elder abuse attorney, and grateful for the work we did together!
If you are looking for a Sacramento area elder abuse attorney, without hesitation, I highly recommend The Law Firm of Sean Laird. He recently settled a nursing home neglect case for my family and we are very satisfied with the results. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in these types of cases, he is compassionate, empathetic, quick to respond and kept us informed throughout the case. If you need help getting the compensation you deserve, give Sean a call. I can't thank him enough!!!!!
Thank you Jeanette, it was a honor representing you and your Mom.
I had the great fortune and pleasure to find and work with Sean Laird on a case I was seeking representation for. I hit the jack pot by shear luck, or a blessing from above, using a Google search for a nursing home lawyer. Sean Laird was straight forward, sharp as they come, and kind to boot! He is not pushy, bossy or arrogant…experiences I have come across more in my particular field generally speaking; having worked with different types of lawyers on cases. So if that has been your experience too, you won’t find it with him. He is excellent at what he does; he’s to the point, guides you if you get ahead of yourself as these cases are emotional, and does so in a balanced approach that you feel valued and part of the team. He is tough in his fight for you and/or your loved one. I have the upmost respect for Sean Laird, with or without a settlement. If I ever had any case or situation, where I needed a lawyer, I would want him to represent me. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, he only tackles cases involving nursing homes- elder care abuse type cases. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I did, I’d want him. If you are in need of this type of lawyer, look no further. He is a gem in a sea of stones. He really is that good. He came through for my mother and I, with an amazing result. I felt my mom was honored and justice served with the outcome he got for us and a strong message to the nursing home administration. May my mother rest in peace, and I have to thank Sean for making that possible.
In 2015, I still vividly recall the day I walked into Elder Care Abuse Attorney Sean Laird's office. It had taken me almost a year to find the courage to walk into his office and once again relive the horrific abuse that ultimately led to the death of my family member. Sean's demeanor was caring and calming which made it easy to explain the timeline of events that led to his death. Sean asked many pointed but relevant questions. I felt he was very calm and easy to converse and at the same time assessing my truthfulness and inquiring about specific events that led to his death. He had been referred to me by a person who Sean had represented and felt very strongly regarding Sean's hard work and dedication to finding justice. The minute Sean agreed to represent the death of my family member, he stayed fully committed and very focused on the case and nine years later delivered on his promise to bring justice for my family member and successfully won our fight against a very large prominent corporation
Anna, your bravery and relentlessness on behalf of your brother and other victims of nursing home neglect was nothing short of inspiring. You are an amazing human, an amazing sister, and a pleasure to have as a client. I couldn't be more proud to call myself your elder abuse attorney!
This is to replace my first and original review, inasmuch as it was discovered that my first email to attorney Laird had landed in his spam folder. We have cleared up the misunderstanding, and by way of his integrity, Mr. Laird has sent information of contacts more relevant to my needs. He has been empathetic by way of a personal phone call and we have parted as good friends, if I should ever be in a classification of his specialty.
It is so sad & disappointing to realize your loved one was neglected by the nursing home that was supposed to care for them when they were so vulnerable. I needed someone who believed my loved one deserved justice & accountability from those who had neglected him. That person was Elder Abuse Attorney Sean Laird. He explained the process to me step by step. He kept me updated on every step & was always available to answer my questions. Sean was very supportive & caring through this most difficult time. Sean took to time to get to know my loved one as well as myself. I'm so grateful I found Sean Laird to fight for my loved one. I highly recommend Sean Laird if you're fighting for your loved one. Thanks Sean.
Thank you Cynthia! You showed such bravery in your fight against the nursing home and you inspired me to work for justice on your behalf. You are a great human I am happy I was more than just your elder abuse attorney in the end.
Last year me and my family found ourselves in a devastating position. A close family member was abused in a care facility and we were in need of a reliable Elder abuse attorney. A friend of mine referred us to Sean Laird. He came highly recommended because of his knowledge and experience with this type of law. It was honestly the best referral I have ever had. He was empathetic to our situation and reassured us that he would do his best to get justice for our family member. No guarantees of course but, that reassurance and compassion for our family member meant everything to us. He listened to our concerns, gave us great advice and always kept in touch with the family. As A family we could not be happier with the outcome. If you are ever in need of an elder abuse attorney I highly recommend Sean Laird. He will go above and beyond to get justice for your family in during one of the most difficult times of your life. Sincerely, Michelle
Our family hired Elder Abuse Attorney Sean Laird to help both my Mom (Elder Abuse case), and my immediate family (Domestic violence case). From the very start Sean was very thorough, thoughtful and extremely competent. It was a very stressful family situation, and Sean was compassionate and caring with us all especially my Mom. Sean never missed a scheduled call or family meeting, and was always on time. He worked diligently to keep our court costs down as promised. Sean is a solid attorney and we couldn't recommend him enough to anyone in need of a very capable Elder Abuse Attorney. You will be in the best of hands!
Sean Laird is the "Go To" if you have a loved one that encounters a problem within the Senior Living Community. My loved one encountered a serious problem within a well known and multi-state establishment, and I found Sean while searching for help in dealing with the Senior Living establishment. He was obviously experienced and was straight on topic in discussing our options. I highly recommend Sean if you have an unfortunate experience at any Senior Living Community. He will give you the options in a straight forward fashion and will be timely in his responsiveness. Thank you Sean!
Thank you Greg, it was a real honor representing you and your father.
Ariel will always have special place in my heart for the resilience and courage she showed, all on her own, to overcome her neglect and seek justice against a residential facility that failed to protect her.
Returned my call for help, and referred me to attorneys who could help.
Thank you Susan, let us know if we can help you further!
In 2012 it became necessary for our family to place our son into a Residential Treatment Program which specialized in mental health treatment for children in crisis. Unfortunately, after a series of inexcusable incidents of Child Abuse and Neglect, we sought the counsel of Attorney Sean Laird. Sean was absolutely amazing as he boldly and independently took on this corporation and their "legal team", giving an undeniable voice to children who have been mistreated. Never having the need to seek legal counsel, we were incredibly fortunate to have Attorney Laird professionally, aggressively, and competently represent us through this most difficult time. While we regret the lack of accountability shown by the corporation who promised us quality care, we celebrate the fact that it lead us to Sean Laird. His character, staff and profession has impacted my family, other families, and surely the corporation we fought and so wonderfully defeated. He will ALWAYS be our personal Attorney and family friend.
One of my favorite parts of my job is representing good people, who are fighting the good fight, for the right reason. My clients become my friends and the journey to justice for them is one we take together. But it typically doesn't end when the case ends. The Bectons are a good example of that. They will be life-long friends and their pursuit for justice was some of the most meaningful work I've ever done.
Sean Laird is an attorney very experienced in elder abuse cases. He is thorough in his research and honest in his dealings with his clients. He was personable, well-informed legally, and professional at all times. He communicated well with our family and delivered on his promises. He made this experience more tolerable than it might have been.
Representing Patricia and her family in a horrific case of elder abuse and neglect at an assisted living facility was meaningful work and driven by the family's desire to prevent what happened to their mother from happening to another vulnerable elderly resident at this facility. Their desire to do good and protect others is what drove me to work hard for them. The quick resolution of the case was an acknowledgment of the facility's understanding of this family's steadfast promise to achieve justice for their mom.
I would recommend Sean Laird for the following reasons; First of all he achieved a very successful result in my case. Two other attorneys turned down the case because they thought it would not receive a positive result. He is very good at the discovery aspect of the legal process. He is patient and will go over complex legal processes with you. You feel at ease with him because he is generally friendly and he evokes trust, because he also presents an image of being a family man. But when he is pursuing your legal interests he is all business and very firm. But, at the same time has the ability to negoiate in a cordial and friendly manner with his opponents. Also he always keeps you updated on a timely basis.
Believe it or not, some of the most successful cases our firm has handled over the years were elder abuse, nursing home neglect and sexual abuse cases that other firms had rejected, and had not wanted to pursue. The Panos family's case is a perfect example of this. They came to our firm after being turned down by other lawyers, believing that their mother had been neglected and abused in an assisted living facility in Sacramento. An attorney's job is to be able to listen, to see through the facts to the end, and put together the victim's story in a compelling and meaningful way. We were able to do that for the Panos family only because of their own resilience and commitment to fight on behalf of their mother.
When my mother passed away due to the elder abuse she suffered in a nursing home I was referred to Sean Laird. When Sean took my case he took time to talk to me about my mother, my case and my feelings. He understood my fears about the legal process and he took time to explain everything: from filing the case, depositions, change of venues, interviews, to the length of time for an average case. I always felt my case was in the best hands, and I was right. Sean is a great elder abuse attorney. He will fight to see your family gets justice.
Angela showed such resolve and fortitude to seek justice for her mom who experienced neglect and abuse in a nursing home. The facility denied her access to her mother's records and continued to attempt to stymie her search for the truth. I was proud to represent Angela in her quest to make sure that no other elderly victims were neglected like her mom.
If you are in the need of a Law Firm that is professional, knowledgeable, and accessible and in the specialty of Elder Abuse and Neglect, I recommend The Law Firm of Sean R. Laird, Inc. My Mother was placed in a Nursing Facility in the summer of 2013 and unfortunately, her living conditions and treatment within the Nursing Facility was horrible. After my Mom death, our family decided to seek legal counsel to find out if any legal action could be filed against, the Nursing Facility for what we believed was elder abuse and neglect. We selected The Law Firm of Sean R. Laird, Inc. and we have never regretted our decision. We all felt that his compassion for our loss and justice was something that he would fight hard for. Attorney Laird fought hard to get justice and results for our family, which is what I believe he does for all of his clients. Our family was very pleased with the settlement and the justice that we received on my Mother’s behalf. Thank you Attorney Laird Pamela S
The Forte family showed tremendous fortitude in fighting the neglect and abuse that their mother suffered in a Sacramento Nursing home. Elder abuse and neglect takes many forms, it is often over-looked or dismissed, but Pamela and her family would not stand for it and sought to protect other similar vulnerable elderly residents that were in their mom's shoes. I was fortunate to represent Pamela and her family and bring some measure of justice to them.
Elderly Abuse Nursing Home I never thought me and my family would ever need an attorney. In 2013 my family and I had to put my elderly mother in a nursing home. She was there for 31 days before passing away. During her time there, my family and I felt that she was not being properly taken care of. After her death we decided to look for an attorney to seek justice for our mother. We contacted Attorney Sean Laird and were happy that we did. Our experience with Sean was the best that could have been expected. Sean Laird is an excellent attorney. He is very driven passionate person and is very committed to his clients. He was able to get justice for our mother. I was a pleasure to business with him. I highly recommend him. Valerie
