The Law Office of Jason R Carpenter - Mechanicsburg

Very dissatisfied with the handling of our case with this firm. We are out of state and called them regarding an emergency custody case and because they waited over 3 weeks to initially do anything, the mother moved out of state and was unable to be located for about a month. We were told by the attorney we had to file with state of PA for custody. Our attorney was completely incompetent and unable to handle our case. After 3 months of dealing with her, we made a formal complaint and were assigned another attorney who finally understood the importance and necessity of our case to be filed immediately. After spending almost 4 months dealing with the firm and $7000+, we spent 8 minutes in front of judge for him to tell us the case wasn’t in his jurisdiction. We will not be getting any refund for the first attorney not knowing how to do their job, being billed for all their mistakes and having to repeatedly fix info they couldn’t get correct and at least know what jurisdiction the case should be in. This was a HUGE ripoff and makes me not have any faith in out of state attorneys or this firm. That’s a LOT of money to throw away for no reason! Now we have to hire a new attorney in another state!
