Melissa is wonderful! I can't recommend her services enough! First off, she fights like a bulldog on your behalf. I was dealing with a custody battle and won't get into too many details regarding that but what I will say is she is always prepared, we had to fight lies, manipulations, misconstruing the truth and facts, if you give her the ammunition, she will use it. Be honest with her and share the truth and document what you're dealing with so she has the entire context as if she is going through it with you and she actually does! Secondly, her communication skills are exemplary. I've had attorneys who wouldn't ever respond or they would take weeks to respond, I honestly think the longest I've ever waited for a response was 48-hrs, which I understand that I was not her only client and she has days in court that would take precedent over an email but she would get back to me asap and I appreciated that immensely. It's hard dealing with someone as manipulative as we were but Melissa knew how to navigate that with the help of myself providing the truth and ultimately helped even though the other party had a bulldog of an attorney also, but the truth ALWAYS comes to light eventually. I can't recommend Melissa enough, I'd give her 6 stars if I could!

I had Tiffany M. as my representative and I unfortunately am VERY disappointed with the professionalism (or lack there of) I had a very simple divorce with no assets and it took OVER A YEAR to have my divorce finalized. I had to give my BASIC CONTACT INFO NUMEROUS TIMES. I had to review, sign and tell them information MULTIPLE times. I essentially did her job for her with distribution, signing and returning documents. She avoided my phone calls, emails and she made it very clear that she had more important cases and put mine on the back burner for I’m not exaggerating 4 MONTHS!! UNACCEPTABLE UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Unprofessional and negligent representation. Communication was poor, follow-through was lacking, and basic accountability was absent throughout my case. When I made the decision to terminate their services due to these issues, the firm immediately attempted to shift responsibility by aggressively pursuing questionable withdrawal charges rather than addressing their own performance. Instead of handling the transition professionally, they resorted to pressure tactics and threats of collections over disputed fees, which speaks volumes about their priorities. I would strongly caution anyone considering this office to review their fee agreement carefully and be prepared for financial pushback if you decide to part ways. I do not recommend this firm.

Melissa was the first attorney I ever used and will definitely be the only attorney I use in the future. She is extremely knowledgeable in the information she gives u and truly has your best interests in mind through the eyes of the law.

What happened is that it was said in court that my ex couldn't have my son around her new fiancee that she ran out on me to be with while simultaneously wrecking my finances and credit and losing mine and our children's home for having drugs in it. She couldn't have my son around her fiancee because I turned in evidence against him and he is now in jail for robbing people and selling drugs and stolen goods. But while he was out on bail my ex had my son around him and I filed multiple contempts against her. She was allowed to walk because your office failed to stipulate that in our parental agreement. If that were the case I would have never accepted their agreement and it had been stated all along that was the case. I hired you to protect my son. Not me. That would have been in my best interest. Now my son comes to my home asking me about this junkie that she has around him and telling me about all the things they do together that I can't do anything about because apparently even anyone can be a father to my son except me. He's 4 years old. I really appreciate y'all putting me in a bad position that I could have easily put myself in had I wanted to. Worth every penny. There is nothing in these words that support the actions of my attorney. You're being silly and manipulative. What's worded is that insult was added to injury. I can prove here and now that I tried to stay in contact with and ask questions of my lawyer, especially involving the seriousness of my son being around my ex's surprise fiancee. She was too busy with another case to protect my son. Finally when I went to court for the contempt charges they specifically stated that because it wasn't on my parental agreement, that your offices name is on because I WAS your client at that time and you DID forge the document that assured that my son would stay in the negligent care of his mother and that she would suffer no consequences for putting my son in dangerous and negligent situations. You can twist this whatever way you want, your office failed both me and more importantly my son. But don't worry, because of my own hard work, NOW there is a standing court order and if she comes to court with me for anything similar they aren't going to play favorites just because she is a mother. Her fiancee is also going to prison for a minimum of ten years. And I did contact your office but I don't see any reason to pay someone to fix their mistake. Y'all wanted me to pay you more money to fix a problem that you created and I asked you to withdraw as my attorney. But you didn't do that, you instead waited until it was almost time to go to court and you withdrew on the grounds that I didn't pay you. In our back and forths I was the last person to message with no message back from your office. But please continue to explain how all of this remains my fault. I have so much time to sit here and prove every word I say while you play the lawyers game of twist it against me. It sounds like you are assuming you know what happened in a courtroom that you weren't in. And I'm pretty certain that I paid your office to represent the best interests of myself and my son. So your argument that you didn't draft the agreement is moot. You DID know that my son wasn't to be around this man. You failed to have that acknowledged in the agreement, or bring it to my attention that it could be an issue that it wasn't. You represented me when the document was signed. You didn't explain the possible consequences. I was told that it didn't need to be in the agreement because the judge ordered it. All on your watch. It isn't my job to determine how the law is interpreted. That's what I paid you for. So please continue to explain to me how you are blaming me because I didn't do your job? *****UPDATE***** Now they have sent me to collections for a debt that I was never informed that I owe. Do yourself a favor and spend more money for a law group that isn't going to stab you in the back twice. Maybe I should have been a lawyer. Then I wouldnt feel bad for making you sound stupid.

I want to come on here and say that picking Melissa Winkler to represent me in my case was the best decision I’ve ever made! She fought tooth and nail by my side. If I ever come into a position where I needed a lawyer, she’s my first call! I would definitely recommend her as a lawyer!

Update on my case it dragged on far longer than it was supposed to. And what started out as what I thought was an easy win took a dive I still stand by what I said justin is a kind and compassionate lawyer and for that reason I can't regret having him in my corner. Yes I had to pay for the time but had I not been able to lean on him and emotional moments I don't think I would have made it this far. Although the entire time even when things were looking challenging I think he oversold the confidence of my situation. And there were some things that I feel like I needed to know and understand that I don't feel like we're communicated to me. My kids fathers we're able to join their cases and team up against me and I didn't know until after things were said and done that I could have spoken out against that. And wish I would of known. Because I will never understand how someone who was convicted of domestic violence against my kids was able to take our child from me without having a case on his own. I love Justin but the entire time even when I was concerned that them going at me jointly Mike cost me both of my kids I was reassured that even if I lost custody of one I would not lose them both because the one I mentioned didn't have a case. I cannot wrap my head around this outcome. I still think Justin is a good lawyer and a good person but I do think my case was maybe too complicated for him. I just wish I could have seen this coming. I never in a million years thought that I would ever actually lose my kids to my abusers people that I previously already proved to be abusive. All of my evidence that I meticulously gathered I feel like it was completely disregarded by the court and I don't understand it I do not understand how hearsay can Trump actual evidence. I will say I think the majority of the failure here lies with the family court system But knowing what I know now I can't help but Wonder if more could have been done to prevent this on the legal front by Justin and he just didn't know. When I tell you the outcome of this is wild and it makes no sense I promise it's not just because I lost. But the fact that I had all the evidence to back up everything that I was saying and the court still chose to put more weight on rumors and speculation than actual evidence. I don't understand that and I don't know that I ever will

Never received one single itemized statement. Not one. Instead I received aggressive emails and letters when my retainer ran below what they wanted on hand (again, NEVER received a statement for services rendered so how would I know???). A payment plan was agreed upon and adhered to yet and the letters continued, adding extra stress to an already stressful situation. I just received letter demanding payment for an unpaid balance after the conclusion of the case (which again I NEVER received a statement or bill for and had no idea was owed) Overall, the case was settled more or less satisfactorily. I had to handle the remaining elements of the decree myself (quitclaim deed etc which was surprisingly difficult) But there was absolutely no transparency in billing or services rendered and for that reason I cannot recommend this firm.

Melissa has been at my side throughout my entire custody/divorce case. A close friend referred her to me as this was all new to me. It’s been a very long and drawn out process to which is not over yet. But Melissa deserves more than the five stars. She gave constant reassurance with clear understanding instructions. She is here for the children and ready to battle for what is in the best interest for them. She is a straight forward attorney that goes above and beyond.
