Very responsive at first with excellent customer service until you pay him! Listen to the other reviews! Keep looking for a better attorney that will get you actual results. Update. DO NOT HIRE THIS JOKER! cannot find my name.. well because he was hired by my husband. He will take your money and promise the world and will not return your calls. He has his wife call back and promise a call back after thousands of dollars given to this so called “attorney” he then threatened to sue us for calling for updates???.. glad to say we found an actual qualified attorney that knew what they were doing and not just in the industry to take people’s money. DO YOUR SEARCH.. we didn’t.

I don’t recommend this law firm! Spoke to his wife and she asked for me to come in to sign paperwork. I also submitted documents via email for my case. It’s been 3 years now with nothing. Called wife to get an update and nothing. Don’t waste your time with this law firm! They won’t do anything for you. Replying to your message: It’s called communication. Y’all never said NOTHING to me! So how would I signed up? You sound crazy!

I am very happy with the experience I had with their business. It was a long process and we had some challenges come our way but they were able to find solutions to everything. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, then again very grateful for everything!

Cortés law office went above and beyond to help me with my citizen information and resolve me with more question that I had. He was patient, kind and explained everything in detail. Hernán exceeded all my expectations and highly recommend him. He’s the best!!

The good thing is that I read the reviews before hiring them, but they still don't have their word. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and at 3:15 pm I was still waiting. The first thing in a business is punctuality.

I hired Mr. Hernan last year for a guardianship case. I paid him 1,000.00 to started the process. After a few weeks I called his office to find out about the case and if he needed anything else from me. The man was never in his office, the secretary lied to me telling me he was away, sick or in the courthouse handling a case. To make a long story short, the man never filed anything at the court for me, never answered my calls and took my 1,000.00 dollars. Do not put your case or your money on this individual hands. P.S. I paid you for the first meeting, and you told me that in order to started the process you charge 1,000.00 for the investigation which you never did, but God is the best lawyer of all, and the best judge as well. Do not replied to me with things that you know are not true. You didn’t even statutes the “investiga” which you said the 1.000.00 were for. Good bless you. I paid you 100$ at first and our first meeting was less than an hour.

Kept money from an Armed Forces member at no mercy without providing service regardless of the financial situation the client may be in. No update because there was never any progress in more than two months. It took him and his staff, who seems not that knowledgeable, an excessive amount of time to write personal information in the petition shell with several grammar errors and other discrepancies. Not to count that the hold up was to wait for significant details for an emergency submission on several matters, and none of it was mentioned. They asked for the information to be sent via mail due to being unable to open files when files work perfectly for me on three different devices with different operating systems. It was clearly done to buy time. The same lack of professionalism to not respond to emails in more than three weeks. It was not until I called that they realized the document was sent, and errors were mentioned. At the time, they demand an additional payment for a service not provided. I hope he feels that he took the money from an Armed Forces service member in an honest way. A VERY DISRESPECTFUL “professional.” who lacks tack to even respond to emails. Thanks to his and the staff's incompetence, it allowed time for another delicate situation to arise. NOT RECOMMENDED at all.

I called to get information on my cases, paid 100$ for a consultation. I specifically asked his assistant if they would be able to pull up my case #s and assist with helping me get my situation fixed. she said yes. When I spoke to the Hernan he was going to charge me 500$ to give me the case numbers. Waist of time and money. Clearly I wasn’t sure of what needed to be done but his assistant was confident that in the consultation he would give me at least my case #s.
