After two mediators (don't waste your time and money, they WON'T give you legal advice), and then two other attorneys to advise on the media tor's settlement drafts, I finally engaged Joe and Michele to bring the divorce to closure. Because of tax law implications, I needed to get the settlement agreement expedited through the court because it was late November before we could get everything signed. Joe and Michele assured me they would get it done, and they delivered on their promise. Could not possibly be more satisfied with their professional assistance during such a difficult time.

Joe and Michelle recently changed my mind about attorneys. My previous experiences had not been great and my success in Department 34 as a father had been a negative experience for me. Having gotten used to getting bad news from my attorney, I was so surprised when Joe told me that, finally, the issues of the past had been resolved. Joe and Michele took the time to help me through a divorce that was initially supposed to be easy and self represented but then escalated. Joe is a true professional. He is not the "bull dog" type lawyer. He works best as a mediator. He has a calming presence that serves to deescalate highly contentious individuals and get to a fair resolution quickly. The attorney that is helpful, easy to talk, helps you like you are part of the family and his main concern is to be sure you are standing in good grounds, **with out** asking you for your bank account and retirement upfront, is very good and important to have him on your phone book for any type of help need it, Joseph Carnohan . Joe is not your typical attorney. We were referred to Joe Carnohan by a friend, The case had become extremely difficult over the first year with a different attorney. Joe took the case and did an amazing job. Not only was he knowledgeable but professional and presented his case extremely well. We were very impressed when one of the judges acknowledged his ability to make difficult cases work in the pass and wanted to know what was so different about this case. Joe explained and we one that hearing. Joe has a history of taking difficult cases and getting everybody to work together. He took our case, in the middle and still did an outstanding job!! His legal assistant, Michelle, also outstanding, and always there. Both were very helpful in easing the emotions, explaining how everything works and what to expect. Can't remember how I found Mr. Carnohan and his wife/legal assistant Michelle but I'm truly grateful I did! They made one of the most difficult times in a person's life so much easier. Anytime I had a question I was given an almost immediate response and they were ALWAYS kind and more than willing to help! For a single mother of two, they were very affordable, another reason why I recommend them to anyone who needs legal services! I live in San Diego so they were a little further away than I had planned to go, but I would absolutely without question contact them again if I need legal assistance!
