I do not recommend this lawyer to any woman who is in danger and in need of an order of protection for complex cases that are involving higher level investigations related to criminal tactics such as; love bombing, gaslighting, sex and human trafficking operations. She will put your life at greater risk of being either 1) kidnapped or 2) killed off. Her private investigator, Gerard Easly, also compromised my safety and used manipulation and gaslighting tactics. Tread carefully and preserve all your evidence in the event you go missing or show up deceased.

In my personal experience, this law firm is one of the worst choices you could make. They take your money and then disappear. They don’t communicate, they don’t return calls, and they ignore you until you basically have to blow up their phones just to get a simple response. Their so-called “24-hour callback policy” is a complete joke. They claim to help low-income families, but in my opinion, that’s just a sales pitch to pull people in. Once you're signed on, you suddenly get hit with fees no one ever explained, and when you need real help, they leave you stranded. Every promise they made felt like a lie, and every step of the way felt like they cared more about money than actually helping their clients. Based on my experience, I would warn anyone: do not trust this law firm with your time, your case, or your money. They will leave you feeling misled, frustrated, and completely unsupported. Your response contains several inaccuracies and misrepresents our experience. There were no bond violations related to the original case. That matter was already resolved, and the only remaining requirement was completion of court-ordered hours, which are currently being completed. The bond hearing itself raised serious concerns. Comments made by the judge were delivered in a joking manner before any preliminary hearing occurred, which contributed to our dissatisfaction with how the matter was handled. While we appreciate the appointed attorney who was assigned and who made genuine efforts to assist us—including attempting to move forward while payment arrangements were being discussed—the overall communication and handling by your office was not satisfactory. Regarding payment, we did not refuse to pay. We attempted to make arrangements in good faith. When the remaining balance could not immediately be met, we were not allowed to continue under any modified arrangement, and the funds already paid were/would be forfeited. That was our experience. No one informed your office that you were prohibited from communicating with me. In fact, you personally stated that you were ending communication with the mother. That claim is inaccurate. Client satisfaction is subjective. We were not satisfied with the firm’s services overall, and this review reflects our honest experience. We stand by it.

BEWARE—STAY FAR AWAY IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED HELP! This law firm is nothing but a money grab. I hired Shequel, yet I never even received proper representation. She had no idea what was happening in my case, and it’s clear that if your case isn’t high-profile, it isn’t a priority. Her assistant even admitted, “It’s like if you hire a mechanic and he’s too busy, he’s just going to hand you off to another mechanic.” Later, Shequel called me for what I assume was a consultation, informing me that her fee had increased to $4,000. Then, as if trying to be generous, she said she’d take off $500 because of my previous bad experience. After talking for another five minutes, she dropped another $500—bringing it right back to the original $3,000 I had already paid for a case she never helped me with in the first place. This law firm is a scam. Don’t waste your time or money.
