Tara is amazing and the perfect Lawyer to have your back! She won't suger coat anything & make things get done right. Those who have to go up against her don't like to because she's a force to be reckoned with.

The Law Shop has been amazing. Andrea, James, and Breanna have been awesome to work with. Issues with DHS were swiftly met head on and resolved by Andrea. James was outstanding at my hearing. And everything turned out the best I could hope for. 10/10 would recommend.

Horrible experience, I definitely do not recommend. I was told by James that providing is what a man is supposed to do. While I don’t completely disagree it shows his biases towards understanding the situation and properly evaluating the case.

I don't have enough good things to say about The Law Shop Iowa! I had been trying to find a lawyer to help with a step parent adoption. Until I called this group, no one would help us (I used key words such as family law, adoption, and a few others). However, I'm glad no one else would accept us as clients because Tara Elcock was the most perfect fit! We felt listened to, important, valued....I could go on and on. Best! Lawyers! EVER

I had an excellent experience working with AJ Skogerson at the Law Shop. I can't imagine a better human to guide one through the brutality of divorce. Responses to all questions were fast and efficient. Pricing was fair and up front. Complex issues were explained very well with clear advice on how to proceed and the pros and cons of each decision. Her communication with others on my behalf, including opposing counsel, was skilled and professional, and I was always included on all messaging. Support staff was also excellent. I highly recommend!!!

I reached out to James for help with a modification of my divorce, which we did without representation a few years ago. James was extremely helpful in explaining the options and the process and making sure I was comfortable with the changes we were proposing. Seeking representation is an intimidating process, but James was wonderful to work with and provided a variety of options that fit my needs and my budget. Terrible experience. My attorney counters everything I say. She gives me her personal opinions and not actual legal advice. Instead of dealing with my actual issues and concerns, she repeats back to me what I say to try to pick it apart. Horrible horrible so called representation. This is an awful thing to do to a mom when her kids are on the line.
