Please look elsewhere if you need fair legal representation. My mother went to Mrs.Leon and was advised how things would be handled prior to starting the case. Mercedes Leon stalled (probably to continue getting paid) and did not get one issue resolved. Extremely hard to get in contact with her directly as well. Over promised and under delivered. Ultimately we had to request for Mercedes Leon to get withdrawn from the case since we felt nothing was actually being done. Its extremely disheartening to pay so much , just to be run in circles and to be advised to just take your losses. Woman to woman- please do better!

All began after contacting her office so my mother could stop a “Dissolution of marriage” which began under false pretenses and the abuse from a third person against both my parents (one of them a vulnerable elder with diagnosed Alzheimer’s disease). When I contacted this office, I encountered a person on the other side of the phone that constantly was resisting our contact with the office, not willing to listen nor ask the proper questions (referring to her front desk person or receptionist). Then, yesterday, once at the office it was more resistance from both, the receptionist as well as the attorney. There is two sides to a story, but Attorney Mercedes León did not ask me what was the issue. Not asking the proper questions from the standpoint of being a professional of the law, and only citing that I was not her client, she showed me her true colors. I have an entire file of proof however that was not important to this office. Let me add that the receptionist even lied to a social worker (my daughter) over the phone. I will always protect my parents.

Leon is an excellent and knowledgeable lawyer. She is compassionate and caring. She represented me in a child custody/ support case and now a divorce and I have just great things to say about her expertise. Great representation for the Hispanic community in need of legal support.

Professionalism at its Best.

Had to pay a consultant fee for this law firm to tell me there’s nothing she can do to help us. The case was too “complicated”. Well I ended up hiring a different lawyer to prove her wrong. All charges are now dropped. It’s best to look else where.
