I had a very disappointing experience with Messina Law Firm. I called simply to inquire about discussing a potential bad faith insurance claim. The person who answered immediately told me they are not taking bad faith insurance cases right now, which is fine. Law firms have the right to choose the cases they take. However, I politely pointed out that their website still advertises that they handle bad faith insurance claims, so it might be helpful for them to update it to avoid wasting people's time. Instead of acknowledging that or even responding to what I said, the woman on the phone completely ignored the point and just kept repeating the same line over and over: “We’re not taking bad faith insurance claims.” It felt like talking to a recording rather than a person. It was very disrespectful and she had that "tone" without cause. There was no attempt to listen, clarify, or even show basic courtesy. A simple response like “Thanks for letting us know, we’ll pass that along” would have gone a long way. First impressions matter. If a firm cannot handle a simple phone inquiry with professionalism or basic communication, it raises serious concerns about how they treat people in general. At minimum, they should update their website so it accurately reflects the cases they are currently accepting.

Susan was no help at all. Refused to answer my questions in a straightforward manner and didn’t seem to want to assist me.

I came to Messina Law with a well-documented tenant dispute involving serious safety issues, harassment, and retaliation from my landlord - violations backed by Texas property law. The assistant I spoke with dismissed the entire situation as a basic landlord-tenant issue, without taking the time to understand the depth or urgency of the case. No empathy, no questions, no effort. If you're dealing with a hostile landlord or being forced out of your home, don’t expect them to take it seriously. Total waste of time.

It’s all about who you know, not what you know. On 12.28.23, was one of the scariest moments of my life but when Susan and Messina Law Firm stepped in, I was left with confidence and taken good care of. I appreciate everything Susan did for me and my situation and I am grateful that she never not once forgot to check on me during my healing process. Thank you Susan and Messina!

Communicative and compassionate, working with Susan and Joey on a against all odds car accident case (hit & run, no licence or insurance). Thankful for this option in a serious but thankfully not deadly situation. Person ran red light and I broadsided them in an intersection with no way to avoid collision. Mr. Messina is extremely well-versed in the law and always has a game plan on how to best assist his clients during their time of need. In my situation, Joey was always one (if not two or three) steps ahead of the opposing counsel. After tangling with Joey, the plaintiff in my case decided to file for dismissal of the suit brought against me. We DID NOT settle. The case was actually dismissed by the plaintiff due to Joey's expert representation. Could not more highly recommend the Messina Law Firm. Excellent attorney! Period!
