This was my first time dealing with a lawyer (of any kind) and Royce went above and beyond! After speaking with two other lawyers, one whom made me cry, I was frustrated and losing hope. Then I was referred to Royce by a mutual friend, and within just a few minutes of speaking to him knew I wanted him to represent me in my divorce. Royce is professional yet very personable; he'll get down to business while cracking jokes. When asking questions he didn't treat me like I was a lawyer and already knew the system. He explained things in a way I could understand and made the entire process quick and painless. On the day of my divorce hearing I was super nervous because I had never appeared before a judge for ANY reason, and the fact that this was a zoom meeting made me even more nervous. I arrived a few minutes early and Royce took the time to go over the entire process and took me through all of the questions so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. He was extremely attentive and quick to respond to any emails I had sent him and he never made me feel "stupid" for not knowing/understanding something. His personality on top of professionalism just added to the great experience I had with him. He is an honest lawyer and never tried to swindle me. So today I had Royce for my attorney I thought he was going to be a pain from first conversation but he actually listen to and understood what I was going through… He was my lawyer for oak park we won our case and our communication ended excellent.. he also did do great on returning phone calls so thanks Royce.

I hired Royce Nunley when I was facing a criminal charge. I knew nothing about the criminal justice system, so I really needed some guidance. Unfortunately, I got no such help. Communication was minimal. When we went to court, he told me, "the judge is really mad at you. You should take the felony." No explanation......just that the judge was mad at me? I won't go into much detail except that I had no criminal history and it was a non-violent, low-level felony charge. I don't feel like he fought for me at all. I could have rolled over and plead guilty on my own.....for free. On top of that, I was just as confused and terrified as I was when I hired him.
