I wish I would have read these reviews before going selecting this firm but they were referred to me by a family member and have been a huge disappointment. My auto accident was handled very poorly and in the end the firm received more in a settlement than I the client did. What's even more upsetting, is that I am currently waiting on my settlement check that was supposed to have been sent to me via Fedex on August 30, 2024, and it's now September 7, 2024 and I have yet to receive it so I have no other recourse but to contact the state of Florida Bar Association to file a complaint. I unfortunately cannot recommend this firm to anyone in the future.

There is a commercial on TV of the Porter Firm saying that they help with JEA payments. It doesn’t say that there is a particular set of requirements for this assistance. I called because my estranged husband was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and couldn’t afford to pay his bills due to his health issues. When I initially called the office the person answering the phone had no knowledge of this but I informed her that there is a commercial that states this. After a short conversation she googled and gave me the number to JEA. A few minutes later she called me back and said that after mentioning that I had inquired about it she was directed to give me the number to someone else from the firm. When I called the number and got no answer I called her back and she advised me to text. I texted the number and got a reply that gave me the impression that the request for assistance was acknowledged and would be addressed. The last response was them asking how much was the bill for which I provided and has not received any response since from the firm. I don’t have a problem with them not paying it, the problem is that you advertised it and now you are not coming through. That says a lot about you as a Firm as well. Your follow through is weak.
