Lynne and her team at Rutherford are professional, personable, effective, and efficient. Throughout the divorce process, I felt as though my needs were genuinely honored and respected. While navigating divorce (my first and only hopefully) I was also handling my mother's decline in health and transition into palliative care. This year has been the hardest of my life, and I know I wouldn't have made it through in one piece without such a stellar lawyer. Before going to The Rutherford Law center I had a bad experience with a previous lawyer and ended up looking for a new lawyer to do the job that my previous lawyer had not done. I found The Rutherford Law center through a friend’s referral and I was so glad I did! The Rutherford Law center was an amazing company to work with. I worked with them for several months and never had any bad experiences with them. They are very professional and great at what they do! Brittany Cooper was the amazing lawyer that I worked with through my court case and I never had any doubt about how well she would do. I will definitely go to them in the future if I need any legal help. I would also definitely recommend their team if you are in need of legal help and want a company that will put your interests first, be professional and purposeful, not extremely expensive (like some other lawyers), and if you want someone who will fight for you in court. Pros: -Danielle is really great - a wonderful communicator - very responsive. -This is a collaboration based firm Cons: -Meggin was unprepared and unprofessional. The judge on my case muted her twice on a 15 minute Webex call. She commented more on the fact that she was on vacation, and spent more time defending her schedule than actually presenting my position. I don’t believe she knew what I was even requesting for parenting time as she stated she didn’t have my case notes in front of her, and didn’t specify what was requested and agreed upon in our original MOU when she asked the court to implement it... It was a disaster and absolutely humiliating for me. My ex is a cruel person and didn’t waste any time making a spectacle over the fact that the judge muted my then attorney, Meggin. -If you need an aggressive attorney for your case - this law firm is NOT for you. They are great with couples who are amicable - NOT for couples who are dealing with irretrievable and irreconcilable breakdowns in communication and agreement.

Meggin has been a godsend. She helped with estate planning and represented us, successfully, in court. She is professional and knowledgeable about her specialties. She was also good with referring for out-of-scope issues.

They made numerous mistakes and and were unwilling to step up to correct them when I was in danger of losing my home due to them. When I constructively brought up the problems I was having I was ignored and lied to. Working with this firm added much additional stress to an already stressful situation. I hate to leave a negative review, but feel an obligation to warn others.

I am thoroughly disgusted with my attorney that I had here. Selena completely let me down. The first thing that came up was the financial statement I needed to fill out. I needed help with it. I didn’t get it from her. I also have numerous medical issues. I have since found out that the first thing that Selena should have done is offer a guardian ad litem for me. They would have helped me understand everything that I was signing etc. She dropped the ball on paperwork she should have filed against my ex-husband to access monies from our business. She did not, which meant I could not receive the funds that were obviously mine as well considering it was a business that was started while we were married. She did not send paperwork to me that I needed to look over. She didn’t discuss what monies would be suitable for my alimony. I ended up getting the lowest amount I was allotted. But considering the full amount of money that was brought into our home was not even considered because of her lack of follow through, I actually was awarded a lot LESS than what I should have. I didn’t feel she had my back at all. There were a lot of phone calls that were not returned and most of my questions were never addressed. My ex-husband hid a lot of money and again, nothing was addressed. I am thoroughly disgusted by my representation that I received. If a person does go to this law firm, stay away from Selena until she gets her head back in the game. Donna

I have been working with Meggin for about 4 years and I can not believe that I never thought before to give her and her firm the most amazing review possible. Meggin has helped me in so many ways throughout the legal battles with my ex-husband. As a single mom who has been a student struggling to start a career as a counselor, Meggin has been gracious, compassionate and generous to help me with with my struggle against an ex who makes almost 4x's the money that I do. She and everyone in her office have provided incredible services and I trust her completely in this process. Make no mistake, there are plenty of attorney's that will take advantage of situations to get billable hours, Meggin and her firm are not those attorneys. They are diligent, resourceful, and an ever-present help!! You will not regret choosing this firm!

Would highly recommend this firm. From the moment I began communications, everyone in the office was professional, courteous, and friendly. I have been experiencing ongoing disputes over the welfare of my two little children and Brittany (in particular) has been exceptionally helpful and compassionate. Her expertise and organization was a God-send. I found the firm to be affordable (for what legal action and attention need be taken). Have already recommended to family and friends who are considering the need for legal council.
