It's hard to believe that the positive reviews flooding this page are of the same person I hired. I hired Neil and the smith law firm in April of 2025 for my divorce case, Neil was recommended to me by one of his colleagues. Neil was very quick to take my money but getting ahold of Neil and his paralegal Kris proved to be incredibly difficult afterward. I would go weeks and sometimes a month or more without responses back from Neil but could actively see him responding to reviews on his google page. Neil works at Neil's pace. He was very quick to take my money but after he had it I became a hobby as opposed to a client getting back to me whenever he felt like it. No matter how many times I texted, called, emailed I never got a timely response back. And when Neil finally did respond back he would never acknowledge the long break in responses just would send me enough to satisfy a response and would go back to it. Multiple times throughout my divorce process Neil sat on paperwork that needed to be filed for weeks at a time and would only progress along after repeated emails from me urging him to do so. I would not recommend Neil to my family, friends or colleagues for as nice as he may be he doesn't take his clients time seriously.

I am grateful for Neil and his staff Kris. I had spoke with about 5 attorneys before I was recommended to Neil. i was pretty frustrated at that point. I left a message on his voicemail after hours on a Friday, but wasn’t expecting a call back until the next business day. Neil call me the very next day (Saturday) and was knowledgeable and attentive to my questions. He made sure to advise me to do my research before picking him as an attorney, which suggests he’s just not out for money. Just speaking with him he was very sincere and helpful. Neil advocates for your best interest and does the best for his clients. My divorce was finalized in under a year which I’ve been informed was quick compared to other divorce proceedings. He’s a really great attorney and easy to speak with.

I rate this man 5 plus stars!! Took time out of his work schedule to talk with me about some arising issues!! He was very very professional and very understanding!!

Neil was amazing. He was affordable and was able to get my divorce finalized before the year was out like I wanted. I had a case where my now ex-spouse was attesting but that did not stop him from executing and finalizing my divorce! Super greatful for Neil and his staff Kris. Highly recommended!

I had spoken to four law firms/attorneys before I contacted Neil. From the first phone call, Neil was very patient and knowledgeable. We spoke on the phone until all of my questions were answered, my what if scenarios were resolved and until I had no words left. By the end of the call, I knew he was the guy for me. Neil encouraged me to talk to more attorneys and to take time to think before hiring him. I appreciated that he didn't rush me to sign with him. During the process, I was kept informed of all the important details. There were times that I would have liked more communication and calls returned more timely, but I never felt like I was missing vital information. I truly felt like he understood where I stood, what I wanted and what was in the best interest of my child. He was able to resolve my case relatively quickly and I'm very happy with the outcome. Hiring Neil was a no brainer and the best decision I made. I'm so confident in his skills that I have recommended him to several friends. I can only hope that I never need to hire another lawyer, but if I do, I would not hesitate to call Neil.

Very disappointed with Niel . He did my divorce which was ok and I actually gave him a 5 star review but when I tried to contact him few months later about some new issues related to my taxes and divorce, he completely ghosted me . Despite multiple phone calls, visit to his office , emails etc , he didnot get back to me . I find this to be very unprofessional behavior!

Mr. Smith helped me through a long custody battle, and was able to accomplish what 2 prior attorneys were not able to for me, and helped me obtain exactly what I needed. He was able to offer a lot of support, knowledge, professionalism, and care with a very sensitive case. Highly recommend for anyone seeking legal services for family cases.

Neil was great to work with he listened to all of my concerns very knowledgeable when putting my child best interests first. I would highly recommend him for anyone going threw a difficult custody case with their children.

Neil is an amazing attorney and I'd recommend him to anyone needing help with family law. He spent a good hour or more reviewing my case with me and even went as far as recommending another firm/attorney that could handle my particular case more effectively and likely save me some money in the long run. Neil is what you always want and expect your representation to be but you usually end up with a subpar lawyer who only wants money and doesn't care for you or your particular case.

Neil Smith is an amazing lawyer. He won our case for our family in a custody battle.. Without giving details about the case, I would just like to say that Neil was absolutely wonderful with communication, professionalism, ethics, and an overall understanding of psychology. Neil was a good listener and strategist, figuring out the background of our story and taking in the information and formulating a great strategy for how to win. He answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Before court dates, he made sure to keep me updated and coached me about court procedures before trail dates. On top of all that, Neil has a lovely personality that anyone can get along with and is just a really terrific person to have on your side in a crisis. I would highly recommend him!
