As the Executor of an Estate in the San Francisco Bay Area I needed the help of a respected Probate Law Firm. My attorney recommended The Urbatsch Law Firm. The firm took excellent care of me and guided me through California probate court without one problem. Their excellent advice and guidance was a definite Godsend. I would HIGHLY recommend Urbatsch!!
I found out about this firm from the Nolo Press book on Special Needs Trusts that Kevin Urbatsch wrote. When I reached out to his office to determine if I needed to create a SNT, his colleague helped me determine at no cost that I do not. Kevin Urbatsch and his colleagues are generous with their time and expertise.
If you need help with setting up or revising an estate plan involving special needs contingencies, Kevin is your guy. Thoughtful & complete and a great resource for those charged with caring for others with limited capacity.
Mr. Urbatsch is a well versed professional and operates a top notch firm. Highly recommend.
The Urbatsch law firm is amazing and has so much expertise within the special needs area. If you need assistance with special needs planning, you should definitely contact this law firm as they will not waste your time or money.
Making end-of-life plans is an intimidating prospect at the best of times. The Urbatsch law firm handled the issues of our wills and trusts with professionalism, consideration and care, in spite of the communication difficulties posed by a pandemic and general shutdown. We would recommend them heartily to fulfill that requirement. Besides, they're very nice.
The best of the best! Very knowledgeable and courteous. Kevin's firm is a top tier firm in my opinion. Jessica and the rest of the team at Urbatsch Law are a pleasure to work with.
Jessica at Urbatsch was a pleasure to work with during the Conservatorship process for our daughter. She was responsive and organized. Every detail was overseen and she anticipated issues that might arise.
I had set up my grandson’s First Party Special Needs Trust with Urbatsch and was impressed with the thoroughness and amount of information I received. I recently closed out the Trust and got such excellent service from Jessica. She was always clear, thorough and extremely timely. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone. They are the best!
Jessica handled almost everything after an initial consult from Kevin. We feel so much better having a Special Needs Trust set up for our son and also a Revocable Living Trust for us. Jessica was a dream and held our hands every step of the way. I can't recommend this firm highly enough.
Jess is both pleasant and professional. She explained my estate plan, including the special needs trust for my son's benefit, in terms I could understand. The office staff is responsive, and the final documents were neatly organized in a binder for easy reference.
The Kevin Urbatsch Law Firm has just done an amazing and complex job of creating a Special Needs Trust for our disabled adult daughter. They led us through the tangled bureaucratic snarls and out the other side, always patient and creative in helping us produce the required documents. An unqualified recommendation.
After reading Administering the California Special Needs Trust I called Mr Urbatsch who was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I have to compliment more than one department at this firm: John in the front office is extremely professional, very friendly, and I appreciate his emails as follow-ups to our calls. Then there is Denise in their accounting department; she is amazing too and also incredibly responsive to emails! They have a wonderful staff here and they are terrific to work with.
I highly recommend Urbatsch Law Firm for their outstanding professionalism, courteousness and honesty. Thank you for everything. -Elias
My husband recently passed and even though he believed his "estate" affairs were in order, unfortunately his Will and Living Trust did not provide for or include setting up a Special Needs Trust for our daughter even though he left her a significant bequest. This situation was further complicated by the fact that our daughter is disabled and drawing benefits from SSI. Internet research revealed several local attorneys who said that they specialized in Special Needs Trusts, but when I discovered that the Urbatsch Law Firm literally wrote the book on this topic we decided to interview this law firm to see if they could help us deal with this legal quagmire. Kevin spoke to us initially and I knew that we had made a great choice by contacting his firm. We ultimately worked with Jess F. who is very knowledgeable about Special Needs Trusts and was able to resolve the problem caused by my deceased husband's incomplete estate planning for our daughter. It was a straight-forward process having the Special Needs Trust prepared and ready for signing within a relatively short period of time. I have worked in the legal field for over 35 years and was very pleased with the expert handling of this legal matter for the benefit of my daughter. For all of the above reasons, I highly recommend the Urbatsch Law Firm for any of your estate planning needs.
Kind and caring folks.
My journey to Kevin at his law firm took the form of too many other lawyers: my father's lawyer in New Mexico (I live in California) said that I had to get my own lawyer in California. A lawyer in California said I had to have my dad's lawyer draw up the trust. Another lawyer in California told me something altogether different (and wrong). We were referred to Kevin via, finally, a lawyer who knew what he was doing and told us we couldn't find a lawyer who better understood the trust we needed. When my trustee and I met Kevin he basically said: "We can make this happen" and proceeded to help us set up the trust that now assists my family in ways that are wonderful. I have felt taken care of, and put our trust in someone, who not only knows what he's doing, but also is the one who teaches other lawyers about how to set up the kind of trust we needed! Why go to another lawyer when you can hire the one that likely taught yours?
I have been fortunate to have the Urbatsch Law Firm (ULF) represent me in court supervised fiduciary matters. I am a licensed private fiduciary who specializes in Special Needs Trust (SNT) Administration and I have worked with ULF for over a decade in many of those cases. What I like most about ULF is that they know what I need to do to protect the Trust beneficiaries I serve, including guiding me on helping preserve client assets. The ULF provides counseling, support and will stand with me if issues arise with the Court, Social Security Administration, or other Government Agencies. The ULF has masterful experience in all of those arenas and provides the information and guidance I need to be an effective administrator to my clients. The Urbatsch Law Firm is national leader in SNT and Estate Planning matters. Beyond providing excellent services to their Estate Planning clients, the ULF trains attorneys, financial advisors and private fiduciaries through their SNT Administration Annual Special Needs Trust Symposium, several books, conference presentations, and workshops. I whole-heartedly recommend the services of the Urbatsch Law Firm.
