While the staff was prompt and courteous, my experience with Andrea Wood herself was very disappointing. I found her approach to be condescending and unhelpful, and the legal guidance provided was minimal at best. She frequently shifted blame rather than offering clear solutions and did not inspire confidence in her understanding of sound legal strategy. There are many reputable attorneys in the Charlotte area — and I will be seeking someone else in the future.

We had a traumatic and dehumanizing experience with The Wood Law Firm and JRN Development. What should have been our first-time home-buying dream quickly became a nightmare. We signed a contract and paid our earnest money in February 2023, with the project promised for completion by April/May. Delays happen, and we were patient, but communication was nearly nonexistent. In November 2023, we were suddenly informed that our contract was canceled and our earnest money refunded due to “approval issues,” despite never asking to be released. We were told we would be contacted if the homes were ever completed. By February 2024, the homes were back on the market—listed $102,000 higher. We only discovered this by driving by, not because anyone reached out as promised. Our repeated calls and emails to both the law firm and developer went unanswered. The listing agent refused involvement. We were never given the option to move forward, and the lack of integrity, communication, and basic decency was shocking. We felt cheated, dismissed, and scammed. The stress and disappointment they caused were immeasurable, and they showed no compassion or humility throughout the process. Please exercise extreme caution before working with them.
