Called three times. Could not get anybody to call me back. Had to go with a different lawyer

Response from owner

Hi Lawrence. We're very sorry you couldn't get through. If there is still a way our firm can assist you, please feel free to call us back. We have intake personnel who are here to receive and process these calls, and it's unclear what occurred to cause this issue. Again, we apologize and hope you consider our firm for any future legal services.

The firm was extremely quick with their responses, professional, and kind. I had the pleasure of having Max Walko as my lawyer and he was nothing but empathetic, hardworking, and intelligent. He helped me win my case and I am deeply appreciative of him and everyone at this firm. Highly recommend their services.

Response from owner

Thank you for your feedback, Olive! We are very glad you got such a great result. If you ever need our services again, just give us a call.

These people have been a terrible expediter and liaison of hunting information and gathering evidence and any real estate or family evaluation. They are like pistol Pete without the flip of the wrist and they just shoot wildly with false accusations that lip can say whatever it wants I believe that’s called slander And there trail is down right the entire reason reforestation became an act and Oregon in the early 60s. These people have no regard for any type situations that might be out of their understanding and instead of asking questions they take money first and assume next they have reached out with only their bundles and bundles and bundles of snail mail and left us scared, Vulnerable, exposed, and afraid. I offer this to the next person that decides they need legal advice from these people just don’t do it consolidated skateboarders across the world will agree. Even Phil Knight, Just Don’t do it! Don’t let these lames into your home, business etc! I am shocked that they are still practicing law!?! Idk smh

Response from owner

Hi Richard - we are always open to feedback, but it remains unclear what contact you may have had with our law firm. If there is anything we can do to help your specific situation, please feel free to reach out. Thank you.

I have worked with Janice Hatton since 1995. Flat out, the best estate attorney in town. She is all about absolute perfection.

Response from owner

Thank you for your feedback, Simon! Attorney Hatton is still here doing amazing things for her clients.

Utilized this firm for a probate. They failed in so many ways to include proper direction, inability to send out accurate information to all parties involved, unable to accurately copy documents for all parties involved, putting the wrong name for the deceased on records they were preparing for the court, and inability to read both the front and back of a document. They blamed this on working partially off site due to Covid-19 but it is hard to understand how they can use a computer when in the office but not at home. If you want to stay on top of the process all of the time and have them correct their many errors then they are 5 star but if you want it done right the first time around look elsewhere.

Response from owner

Hi Bruce - we're sorry you didn't have a good experience with our firm. It is true that some legal software our firm utilizes has features that are restricted when accessed from a remote office. This is mainly for security reasons. Still, it's unfortunate this impacted your experience. The firm, like many other local businesses at that time, had to quickly adjust to a changing landscape. If there's anything we can do to win back your trust, we are always open to suggestions. Thank you.

I recently had Chelle Haynes on retainer. Chelle Haynes was very resourceful and professional. I’ve hired an attorney previously and had such a poor experience it was relieving working with someone who genuinely cared. I wasn’t able to sustain the cost of an attorney however, Chelle did not leave me hanging. She proceeded with our case as long as she could and directed me to apply for moderate means programs and such. If you find yourself struggling with parentage, custody, child support and any family law litigation, THIS is definitely the woman for the job. Once again, thank you Chelle Haynes and colleagues !

We worked with Lance to work up a legal sale of our business. It started out ok and appeared to finish fine but the red flags during the process came to fruition after a few months. Lance would be impatient when the contract would need changes due to Covid effects on our buyer, requiring us to help the buyer succeed, while ensuring we were protected in the contract verbiage. He would complain in an unprofessional, non-problem solving way, dragging the phone calls out longer. We sensed he was purposely running up the time to be able to charge more, with unhelpful venting. We would constantly have to reiterate several important things for him to include. We finally got the business sold and contracts signed. Our bill from Lance was sizable and even though we felt he was messy and unprofessional we would pay it without questioning it. Due to Covid we did delay, but we paid it within a couple months. Six months later when the buyer was defaulting on payments, we reached out to Lance to ask where & how he had set up the “late fees” mentioned in the contract…even just the percentage. He flatly informed us he was sorry, but we would need to seek another lawyer and he did not even answer the question that pertained to his responsibility. We have a new lawyer that is much more professional and very sharp. He was blown away that Lance never arranged any legal recourse for us to collect late fees. He quickly saw other crucial areas that Lance had left us defenseless. We are reasonable, professional people who have been in business for over 30 years. This review is not inflated. We had to pay thousands to clean up his loose ends. We would never recommend his services and felt compelled to leave this review to help others.

Response from owner

Hi Crystal - we're sorry you didn't have a good experience with our firm. The pandemic was a trying time for business owners and attorneys alike, and we hear your frustration with the process and appreciate your feedback. We strive to be sensitive to your time and your wallet, and we would never attempt to "drive up a bill" intentionally. We are glad you found an attorney to continue assisting you, but if your legal needs evolve, we hope you would consider consulting with us again.

total rip off, I had an attorney Shawn Walker take my case and told me he had a lot of experience in probate and it would take around $3000 to get this will accepted. He wrote one executor of estate objection and one modification to it. He meet with me twice for less than 2 hours and 3 phone calls. He then went to court one day where nothing happened because the other attorney postponed the court case, he then said he didn't have the experience for this and wanted to bring on other attorneys in his firm. He even recommended I find another attorney somewhere else because his firm is expensive and that he is on Salary and gets paid weather he does work or not . He gave me a bill of $5300 then said I have to have him to continue in court and everyone else is to busy to take this case. He then wanted a $7000 retainer when he first said it could come out of the estate, Because he said I would have a hard time finding another attorney because of the short time period I agreed to pay the retainer if he promised to meet me with his new attorney at his firm first before he did any work. So I could provide all of the evidence so they could properly proceed. I signed the fee agreement on Friday Feb 7th and asked him to not do any work until we meet. on Monday 3 days later over a weekend I told him it was to expensive I have plenty of evidence and don't feel I even need representation, and would like the retainer back. Now he emailed that he is only refunding 4146, how could he spend $2854 when agreed if he wouldn't use that money until we meet which we didn't. I felt from the beginning that this guy is a crook now I know. I will be forwarding this to all avenues of better business until they refund the retainer he agreed not to use until we meet.

Hello - we are really sorry you have such a negative experience with a former attorney in our firm. Although this was several years ago, we simply wanted to relay that we value your feedback and we are always open to doing things better. If your legal needs ever evolve in the future and you feel the need to contact an attorney, we hope you would still consider reaching out. Thank you.
