I hope this comes to use to someone, as Tim Ahearn and his team at Ahearn law offices I cannot speak highly enough about, and would go as far to say HE saved me in a critical situation. I work in construction and have for 13 years. In June of 2022 I was injured in a clear workman’s comp case as I hurt my back lifting a heavy stone . All required reporting to safety officers was followed to a T. Fast forward a month, I have been receiving both payments , and treatment as my workman’s comp continues. I am seeing a doctor the comp insurance approved. All of a sudden, 3 weeks before my wife was due with my first son, I get a large packet in mail stating my company would be canceling my workman’s comp case, my payments, my family insurance , everything was shut down. On terms of “they felt I could go back to work light duty” when no doctor stated that. I was told by my manager I would be fired if I did not report to work the following day. While injured still. This is when I frantically started calling injury lawyers. Many of whom gave similar advice as the other, none of them giving me actual answers as to what to do. Finally, I got ahold of Tim. Tim answered his phone immediately, and asked me to explain situation in full detail. Which I did. It was 7:30pm and I was supposed to either go to work injured the following day, or get some legal advice. Tim did not give me advice.
