Two years ago, an elderly lady failed to see me approaching on my motorcycle and turned left in front of me. Survival was touch and go for a while, but two years later, I'm still here. Before I even got out of ICU, Liz Sorrell from the law firm called on me at the hospital after I had one of my children reach out to Tom McGrath. I was familiar with them as I attended several presentations by them on motorcycle safety and how to prepare yourself insurance wise prior to an accident. I admit, I didn't pay a lot of attention because I knew I was a safe rider and nothing was going to happen to me. Ah, but in the blink of an eye... The adage "delay, deny and defend" came to really mean something to me. In fairness, her insurance probably had no alternative but to use up the two years I had to file suit in. I received numerous surgeries and extensive therapy for most of those two years. But all the while the firm was keeping track of everything I was going through and collecting records every step. Rachelle did a masterful job of correlating records, documenting codes and submitting timely reports to the insurance company. As a result, the defend portion of typical insurance strategy fell by the wayside. I suspect they knew they'd been beaten before ever stepping into a court room. I was in a car accident in 2019. I had several injuries to include a broken knee. Liz Sorrell represented me in dealing with insurance companies. The man who hit me was underinsured and my insurance company was not acting in my best interest. They did not want to pay out on insurance coverage I had always paid for in my 30+ years with them. I have used Tom McGraths motorcycle law group for all of my motorcycle incidents over the last 15+ yrs. They are very knowledgeable on the laws and extremely helpful. This group was incredibly helpful through a very unpleasant period . In every contact I had with them , they made me feel as though my experience was important to them ,even though I was well aware they had many ,many other cases to deal with . And many of those cases with consequences much more severe than my own . I was struck by a distracted and uninsured operator and received several lasting injuries but escaped with my life.Lost a great ride too but they build them everyday.The firm navigated me through the process in the best way to find some parity in the situation ,whereas if left on my own ,I am not certain the normal mechanisms of insurance and the legal system would have been leveraged to my benefit.
