I retained an attorney from UKG to represent me in my divorce and child custody proceedings, and I am deeply disappointed with the level of service I received. While communication was generally timely in terms of email responses, there was a noticeable lack of quality and attention to detail in note-taking and documentation. I frequently had to repeat information and resend documents that had already been provided. I also found myself proofreading nearly every piece of correspondence and returning it with grammatical and spelling corrections — all while continuing to incur legal fees. The process lasted approximately 18 months, and I am extremely unhappy with the outcome. I did not feel that my attorney strongly advocated for me or prioritized my child’s best interests. I would not describe her as a shark or someone who goes to bat for her client. Additionally, the firm increased its legal fees midway through the proceedings without prior notice, despite being aware that I had been laid off and was struggling to find new employment. I was also surprised to see charges for attorney parking fees, which I have never encountered before. The rates charged by this firm absolutely do not align with the quality of service provided. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this firm for divorce or child custody representation.

I hired this firm on a matter and almost immediately I was advised by the attorney that she would be leaving on maternity leave. She started the matter very strong with a great demand letter. The attorney who took over took an extremely weak position, dropped the ball entirely and then he and his manager declined to pursue my case that the previous attorney had already indicated she would pursue. I was left charged with a lot of hefty legal fees for absolutely no help and it honestly put me in a horrible position. Horrible. I don't recommend these crooks at their high prices.

"The firm has filed the most nursing home debt cases in Monroe County." Often for people that are not legally responsible for the debt.

Great to work with

Told them on the phone the location of my case. They seemed okay with it. Charged me 330 for the consultation then at end of consultation told me they don’t feel comfortable with taking the case because of where it’s located. So Instead of charging me for the whole consultation couldn’t you have just told me that from the beginning. Basically ripped me off for 330 dollars even though you knew you weren’t going to take the case to begin with. Very shady practice in my opinion.

I spoke with Josh Beisker concerning an estate law. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. When I spoke of a different lawyer I had worked with, he did not try to do anything to dissuade me from working with the other lawyer, but was kind and curious of that firm as well. Josh is patient, willing to answer my questions before I even sign a contract with him. I appreciate his candor and kindness.
