Iliana Villalobos was my lawyer. Positives/neutrals: 1) she did all the basics. 2) her assistant helped me file for child support although it wasn’t part of her work. Negatives: 1) she said I will win what I asked her about specifically multiple times and only at mediation is when she told me that didn’t seem possible. Some things said, she didn’t manage to get results at all. 2) her only way to help me was to file a discovery (she didn’t discover anything) 3) came to mediation unprepared. 4) she won me less child support than I could have had (if she did a proper discovery on my ex) 5) they will not explain you what you are signing. You will need to ask questions about everything you are signing; ESPECIALLY final decree or hire another lawyer for that. 6) doesn’t follow up with a call or text for 2 months. 7) asking for a Google review at the end felt a bit annoying and insincere. Overall, I think probably majority of lawyers are like that, so don’t fall for promises they give you at the beginning, you might save yourself some money and time. 3* for helping me file for child support.
