W Scott Ramsey Law Office

I hired Scott Ramsey in Cuyahoga County, Ohio for a criminal case and I’m not satisfied with the representation I received. The biggest problems were poor communication, lack of clear explanation, and feeling pressured into decisions. My plea hearing was 11/14/2023 and my sentencing was 12/14/2023. Throughout the case I called numerous times and did not receive timely responses. Mr. Ramsey even told me himself that he would “try harder” to respond back to me, which shows this was an ongoing issue. He failed to explain what a Presentence Investigation (PSI) report was and how it can affect sentencing—especially when you already have prior felonies. I told him I was innocent on certain charges, but I felt pushed into taking a plea, which ended up being an open plea. At sentencing I received 4–6 years under Reagan Tokes. On the day I was taken into custody, Mr. Ramsey told me he would file for judicial release in 6 months, but he never did. On top of that, he said on the day of sentencing that he “didn’t know” I had out-of-state felonies, which was alarming because that’s information your attorney should know and plan for. I also provided evidence to show I was not the aggressor, and I do not believe that evidence was meaningfully presented or used on my behalf. My case was later reversed on appeal. I’m keeping additional details private, but based on my experience I would not hire him again.

Worse lawyer ever told me I would beat my case & go home I ended up do 12 months in prison he never reached out after he told my family he would put my judicial in never did that I don’t recommend 💯

Scott Ramsey is a liar. This guy lied to me while I sat in County jail for 8 months. He intentionally didn't give me crucial details about my case, while feeding details to my estranged sister and mother about my case. He lied about how much time I was facing, he told me I would get 18 months tops, I ended up with 48 freaking months in prison! He didn't answer my phone calls while I was in the county jail, so I couldn't change my plea agreement. He never presented me with my Motion of Discovery, he showed it to my mother and sister instead. He never answered my calls while in prison so I ended doing my Judicial Release pro se. This guy is a hot steamy load of dog waste. Lowest form of scum out there. Unprofessional, lies with ease, and is terrible in the court room. AVOID HIS REPRESENTATION LIKE THE PLAQUE!!!!

Poor representation makes deal with the prosecution without communicating with hes client very disrespectful would never recommend

Mr Ramsey is a super great defense attorney. He may be like he is moving slow, but I have realized that he is working on the best possible outcome for your case. I was facing 16 years, and didn’t do a day in jail, once the case was over, and if a trial was needed, we would of had one that. That’s why I received the deal that I did. In short, hired him, you can’t lose!

Scott did a wonderful job defending my love one in trial he took care of his case as if it was his own loved one if there is ever a time that we need a lawyer again we will definitely call on Scott.

This is a good man knows when case is BS and will go beyond to help if u want it.

Scott did an amazing job representing my family member for his trial. He treated us all like family and worked like it was his own family member on trial. I was truly amazed to watch the way battled it out in the courtroom. He saved our lives!

Mr Ramsey has been my lawyer since 2001and theirs nobody else I would rather have fighting for me whenever I'm in a jam. He's very educated and knows the law better then most.
