As an injured worker that has been stuck in the "system" for over 20 years, I assure you an advocate is absolutely necessary! The "system" that is supposed to help the injured worker in many cases does the exact opposite! That's where you MUST have competent, knowledgeable people in your corner. Atty Wagner and his team are just that! In the beginning, I handled my injury on my own...and was successful, but I caught a glimpse behind the curtain. It became very clear to me that the "system" was not there for me. In fact, they challenged and fought against me, nearly EVERY step of the way!!! Looking back, it would have been near impossible to keep up with all of the ins and outs of my case...and w/COVID...no way! Almost every time my Dr, my BWC auth Dr, recommends a course or treatment or procedure, it is denied.
