Wentworth, Jr. is very unprofessional such as cussing and yelling at you and does NOT care to listen to what you have to say like he does NOT have the time and does NOT respond to your calls or texts in a timely manner if at all and very undependable. He acts like he is doing you a favor instead of you being the customer that was hired to work for you. I paid $2500 and there was NOTHING too show for it. Do NOT I repeat do NOT WASTE your MONEY or TIME. Google him first and you will find out unfortunately it was too late for me. My name is Karen Horne.

Robert Weckworth has been my family attorney for over 10 years. He has always exhibited integrity and professionalism. He is amazing at family law; I feel that's where he's most passionate. He has honorable character a good man both inside and outside the courtroom, with his own family being a good husband and father. He has morals and values and follows a code of ethics, which are extremely important attributes for being an officer of the court. Even as an attorney, I felt I had a father figure representing me and fighting for the best interest of my children. It was because of him that my children's father was never able to leave the country with my children to Egypt. He is exceptional at handling high-conflict cases.

One must read Weckworth's Google response to me. Vintage Weckworth. I must admit to being wrong though. He advised me to file a malpractice suit against him. Yes, he actually entertains brief moments of clarity and gives cogent, sound advice. Also, he advised me to contact CPS. He said we were good to go for trial and we had medical records from eight doctors plus a leading pulmonologist ready to testify. But then he decides he's not prepared (he's lazy and hadn't studied completely) and asks for a continuance claiming he just got involved, which was not true! Weckworth liied to judge Teresa Vincent and she was pissed. Then he tries to quit. And sells me out. "Excellent representation?" We shall see how the NC State Bar views that claim.Also, he refuses to return my files, which he is legally required to do. Nine months! Keep lying Robert. Keep digging. Can't wait for your response.

Hired Mr. Weckworth for a custody case. He done his job and I almost got what I wanted in the case however my kids mother frustrated him to the point he won’t return my calls or texts. Only reason I didn’t give five stars in my situation 🤷🏾‍♂️💯💯

I hired Mr. Weckworth in 2020 to modify my child support and custody order after losing my job due to the COVID-19 shutdown. The courts were shut down, and then when they reopened, they had a massive case backlog, so this case was put on the docket at the beginning of 2024. We attempted mediation but failed due to the other individual, but even then, Bob was fighting for fair and reasonable changes. We finally settled the case this week, which was fair and in my favor. Mr.Weckworth came through for me on this whole ordeal, and I was delighted with the outcome. Bob is different from your typical smooth-talking, high-end lawyer. He is realistic about the outcomes (as long as he has all the information), is down the earth, and will be very blunt with you regarding how he sees it. His bluntness and disregard for sugar-coating to argue for what is fair and right was what I needed for my case, and I would hire him in the future if needed. Bob is a one-man show, so people need to understand that he has many other caseloads but be persistent, and he will see you and get you the results you want. On a side note, even though the case took a long time to settle, it worked in my favor, so I have no complaints about the services I hired Mr. Weckworth for.

Terrible person! Very unprofessional! Don’t waste your money. He drags out court cases, to keep getting paid. He has been taking off of cases for breaking rules. Don’t waist your money!

Avoid this man at all costs. Spend the extra money and hire ANY other lawyer. I hired this guy back in September 2017 for a mandatory court appearance for a traffic ticket in Greensboro NC. I live in MD, so obviously I couldn't appear. I paid him for his services and he assured me it would be taken care of. No points, no suspended license. He kept in touch, reassuring me that it would get thrown out. Fast forward to April 2018 and I now have a warrant out for my arrest and this man has been unreachable now since December 2017. Finally got in touch with him and it's getting resolved but I wouldn't be surprised if that's more smoke screens. A simple traffic ticket turned into an FTA, a warrant for my arrest, and tons of unnecessary anxiety. Please, do not hire this "paid public defender" for ANY matters. He will take your money and run. The 1 positive review he has is shocking, probably the only one he's ever going to get.

SCAMMER ** PLEASE STAY AWAY***, this guy was suppose to take care of my traffic tickets. I got pulled over 2 months later and was told i had a failure to appear. Tried to call this guy robert and he answered one time and said he would call back, never to hear from him again. Ive called him every day. still no return call. I had to pay another attorney to handle my traffic case.

My son and I hired Mr. Weckworth for a small matter involving a Foreign Child Custody Registration. He was extremely friendly and willing to have long discussions with me, going to great lengths to explain how the process worked. He charged a reasonable one-time fee to take care of the matter. Five months after we thought the matter was closed, there was another minor issue with the court. Bob was on it immediately and got the matter resolved in a timely manner. We will definitely be calling Bob if we need further assistance in NC.

This lawyer is a scam artist! I paid $2500 and received nothing! I needed a child support order terminated! He assured me in the beginning that he would be able to get it done and I am still paying for a child that (1) is not biologically mine and (2) she is 18 and graduated from high school. Stay far away from this guy. Scam Artist!
