Whitney E Fanning Law Office

Was referred to this office from Legal Shield at the beginning of February and after not hearing from them I reached out to them 2/11/26 and Lynn or Lynnette answered and I inquired about begin referred to this office and she said nothing was received so I needed to contact Legal Shield again. I did so and I still did not hear back and so I called again 2/16/26 and the same lady answered and said it still wasn’t received. I asked if she could call them and gave her my referral number, which she said she did contact them and is waiting for the referral still. She calls back 2/17/26 and said it was finally received and proceeded to ask questions on what it was regarding. She cut me off quite frequently and was just unprofessional. Once she found out I reside in Bell County and the case is Coryell County she again cut me off and said they don’t service those counties. I stated that it’s very frustrating that if she would’ve just taken the time to ask a few simple questions when I initially called I would’ve have known earlier that even with a referral they would not be able to assist and she responded that she wasn’t required to ask questions. I simply stated that it may not be required but if you just take your time to ask certain questions if would result in a better customer experience. Needless to say, I’m thankful that if the front desk is this unprofessional, I’m glad it wasn’t a good match.

Find a different Lawyer! The staff at this law firm seemed quite friendly and helpful at first. These traits are completely useless, however, when you need them to actually return a call and provide legitimate legal advice. After being named in a lawsuit, I contacted this firm and they asked that I provide copies of several documents pertaining to the case. I did and called to confirm that they had received everything they needed the following day. The secretary (I presume) said they had received everything and would have Mr. Fanning look it over. A week later I called to follow up and remind them that the deadline for an answer was quickly approaching. They said they thought Mr. Fanning had looked at the information and they would have him call me. He did not. So, I called again the next day. This time they took a message and said they would call me back. Needless to say, they never called back and I knew I had made a mistake by waiting on them and that I needed to quickly find another lawyer. Time is short already when having to provide an answer in a lawsuit. Don't make the the mistake of using a law firm that assures you they will look into your problem and then simply ignore you when a deadline is the following Monday.
