I've spent 30 years working amongst, with, and for lawyers. Mr. Doubles didn't sell me on what he can do, but he did great. He is clearly highly intelligent and pays attention (many lawyers don't), but he didn't tell me that. He handled my case in the courtroom adroitly and deftly. I learned in court that he can listen and adjust his/your case on the fly depending on the judge and as needed. I also like that he responds to phone calls and emails personally, and doesn't insulate himself behind a secretary.

This was a truly difficult year. With no prior experience in legal matters, I initially chose Mr. Doubles for his proximity to the jurisdiction of my case(s). Turned out to be the best decision of the year. His knowledge of the jurisdiction and its legal 'climate' are incredible. Didn't know what to expect from a lawyer, but he's actually pretty straight foward and honest. Doesn't sugar coat anything or build false hopes. I respect that. Made us aware of all possible consequences and outcomes. It's very easy to become frustrated when you don't understand everything or get answers when you want them. But you have to have patience. Yours is not the only case he's working on. Thank you Mac, for giving us a fair chance to have our side heard. We did as much as we could on our end. And together, we succeeded! Highly recommend!

Got me convicted of a crime I did not commit. * To be clear, I understand that it was the system much more than it was my representation and I was foolish to think I'd beat a charge in family courts just because I was innocent of the charges laid against me. That said, I wish I would had been encouraged to swallow my pride and accept the plea bargain offered me instead of brazenly heading into court only to be convicted to the fullest extent without an iota of evidence to support the plaintiffs case. Further, if I thought I was reviewing the prosecutors who fought and succeeded in getting me convicted of a charge I didn't commit I suppose I could give her no less than 4 stars, and if I could rate the judge, I'd give him 0 if it were possible. Utterly devastating to experience such a travesty of justice. *

Very nice but definitely not what I was expecting for my first experience with an attorney, to be in a situation that stressful and to feel like the person representing you doesn’t really seem interested in actually fighting the case is disheartening, again very nice individual but definitely have lost faith in our justice system

Very informative

This was my first real experience with a lawyer. I spoke with him about a loved one that needed to be represented for probation being revoked. He was very postive and had high hopes in the beginning, he won me over with his willingness to help me and guide me through the process, even when he realized it wasn't going to be as easy as he thought, he was honest and I was thankful for that. However, once he was hired it completely changed. He made me feel like I was annoying him and bothersome even though he was paid upfront. I would send emails weekly, just keeping in touch, making sure everything was going the right direction. (Only to get told one of the times at 7:00 pm on a sunday that the CA had changed his mind on a deal.) My loved one was in jail, so on our talks he would want me to ask things, and when I did, the reply always left me feeling like I bothered Mr. Doubles. I felt like I did most of the work, I thought the agreed upon payment would have covered that time. The first, and possiblily the second court date, he wasn't really 'prepared', although all the questions he was asked and couldn't answer I had sent to him in emails MYSELF prior to the case. We did get a deal thankfully with no jail time (12 months in rehab), but we were made to feel annoying and like a disturbance of his time. He actually told me between the 2nd and 3rd court dates to not call/message him for two weeks, and told my loved ones mother to shut up when she tried to talk to him. Of course all of this was meant to be in a joking manner, but didn't come across that way. If I had to do it again, I would have just let him get a court appointed lawyer. The ladies in his office were wonderful and very pleasant!
